Ostello Gallo d'Oro is located in the northern part of the historic centre of Florence, near Piazza della Libertà and a short walk from the rest of the city's sights. Hostelworld guests have rated their staff very highly, saying 'the staff is very good at making you feel comfortable and is very helpful with great recommendations'. Tours travel desk available with the best tours of the beautiful country-side, Chianti area and wine tasting, Siena and Pisa, walking tours, pub crawl, Museum reservations and more....
Our roof top terrace is now open, so....if you are tired after a long day in Florence...well, our new B&B just next door will entertain you every evening at the sunset on the roof top terrace, with music, drinks and relaxation!!!
Our place is located in the city centre of Florence, only 5 min walk from The Accademia Galley, 10 min from the Duomo and 20 min from the train station.

The nearest main attractions to our hostel are the Galleria dell'Accademia and the Duomo of Firenze, but personally I always recommend people visit the hill of Fiesole, the beautiful countryside in the Chianti area and the Central Market in San Lorenzo Square - it's got typical fresh Tuscan food for good quality/value.

Most of our guests are aged 20 to 45. Since we're not a 'party hostel' we can accommodate people from every age who are looking for a clean, safe and cheap place after a long day of walking around Firenze. We organise special dinners with music so that people can meet each other, socialise and go out together. Very noisy. People talk loudly at 1:30 am! The most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. The springs gave no support and no top madress. The worst thing was, there was no quilt but a thin sheet. We had to wear lots of clothes while sleeping!!

This property has a 2 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
The City of Florence applies a tourism tax to non-residents staying overnight in the city, for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights. The rate is 1 per night per person, but is not applied to: children under 10 years of age, people providing assistance to patients in hospital (max one each patient) or people/family providing assistant to underage patients in hospital (max two each patient).
We have a 48hr cancellation policy.
Please let us know ahead of time if your estimated arrival time changes, so we can make sure to be there to greet you!
