It was simply great to stay in Gallo D´Oro! The staff gave lots of very good information about Florence and many insider-tipps concerning going out, food, shopping etc. The rooms were cleaned daily and the most striking point - apart from the nice staff - the breakfast!!! Never ever had such a great service and breakfast in a hostel. Thx for that!

The breakfast was amazing and the room was amazing, but the staff is what made this hostel such a pleasure to stay at. Melissa was especially nice and helpful, and I really enjoyed having her there.

The owner/hosts at the 'Laura' site are the most friendly and courteous I have ever encountered when journeying and staying at various hostels. They care about their guests and provide a comfortable and safe atmosphere, I highly recommend this hostel. tara

When I arrived to the Hostel they told me I would stay in the hostel nextdoor, which apparently belongs to the same owners. I didn't expect that but it turned out just great. People were very nice and helpful at all times. The room was nice and clean, not noisy and with two big windows. The bathroom is small and the shower is tiny! but If you're not a tall/big person it works out just fine. I would definitely recommend the place, it's a walking distance from all the main spots.

From the beginning, everyone was so nice! Max was absolutely amazing. He spent quite a lot of time helping my cousin and I map out ways to get to museums, reccomending transportations, bars and trattorias , and personally making me coffee after a long night of partying. It was clean, hot showers, free breakfast, and such friendly and hospitable staff. Max and the staff were EXTREMELY attentive, more than willing to help you with your italian, and the place was so safe with 24 hour service. :)

Location is fine, just 5 to 10 mins from the train station by bus. If walk from the station, it took around 20-25 mins. We lived in the sister hostel next to ostell gallo d'oro. The hostel has no lift and we lived on the second floor yet the staff are very nice that he helped us to carry our luggage to our room, which are very heavy. Staff are helpful and the room is clean. Free wifi is provided and the breakfast is good.

I didn't really know what to expect, but from the moment I got there I was so happy. In fact I am going back to stay for several more nights before I leave Florence.

I was very happy with my stay at Ostello Gallo d'Oro. When I arrived, the staff was expecting me and knew my name, which made a good impression. The room, with a double bed and private bathroom, was very comfortable. Breakfast was always available in the morning, even when I was running a little behind the kitchen's schedule.

We stayed in the sister hostel. Max and Sylvia were delightful and went out of their way to help us with everything they could. Breakfast was nice. Very slow wifi.

A bit of a walk from the train station, but not out of the way from the major touristy spots. The staff was excellent, always very willing to help with anything! Rooms and bathrooms were very clean.
