This was by far one of my favorite hostels throughout my trip. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating; even though I only spent one night there and a short time in the morning, I enjoyed it. The only thing is, they're sort of tricky to find from the train station, - I ended up walking much further than I had to and it was already pretty late. The bus option might be better if you're getting in late!

The hostel is very cozy and you can find everything you need: nice rooms and clean bathrooms. The staff is very helpful and provided me with all the information that I needed during my stay (special thanks to melissa). I definitely recommend this hostel!

Nice recommendable place with outstanding staff and great hints for food and drinks! Get up early for the better breakfast!

One of the most modern and cleanest hostels we stayed in on our Italy trip on a straight road to the main attractions, helpful staff who will book you tours - brilliant breakfast choices :)

Wonderful hostel. The staff was wonderful. Fresh cappuccinos made for me when I came for breakfast. And endless refills. Staff was very friendly. Awesome breakfast spread. Cleaning staff was fantastic. They re-made my bed everyday!! How nice. I will be back.

Good hostel in Florence. Place was a bit quiet when I stayed there, but the staff was excellent and always willing to go the extra mile. Place is so close to being a great hostel, maybe a kitchen or a few more activities to get people to meet each other outside of their respective rooms.

Staff were super friendly and helpful.....Room was basic but clean...It was a bit of a noisy place though considering they say they are not a "Party" hostel....Outside our window was a balcony which was attached to the dorm room next door so we had people making noise outside our room from 4am til 7am so a bit annoying...!!!

Would be nice to have a couch or something in the main area along with all the tables. Really helpful staff and awesome Breakfast!

Great hostel! Everything was really tidy and clean. The breakfast was great and the staff was always helpfull and friendly. For sure I recommend it! Next time I'm in Florence there's where I'm gonna stay!

Melissa at the desk was wonderful to work with. Not only did she give us great suggestions for sight seeing but great gelato, pizza, and bar recommendations. She truly made us feel welcome. Room was clean and the lockers were convenient. Breakfast was great! We only stayed one night and I wish I could have stayed longer. When walking from the station don't be alarmed if the house numbers jump drastically. One color is for residences and another for businesses.

I travel by hostels from a long time, in Gallo D'oro I met the best staff ever.

It was simply great to stay in Gallo D´Oro! The staff gave lots of very good information about Florence and many insider-tipps concerning going out, food, shopping etc. The rooms were cleaned daily and the most striking point - apart from the nice staff - the breakfast!!! Never ever had such a great service and breakfast in a hostel. Thx for that!

The breakfast was amazing and the room was amazing, but the staff is what made this hostel such a pleasure to stay at. Melissa was especially nice and helpful, and I really enjoyed having her there.

The owner/hosts at the 'Laura' site are the most friendly and courteous I have ever encountered when journeying and staying at various hostels. They care about their guests and provide a comfortable and safe atmosphere, I highly recommend this hostel. tara

The hostel is very pleasant. breakfast is rich and generous .located close to the center. the staff is nice and very helpful ! but there is some problem with the noise that some of the visitors make. ignoring complitly the presence of the others very late at night
