Good base for exploring Venice, clean and on the island of Venice. No life to hostel itself. Use as a base only,

The buildings and property were beautiful and the location was great. The reception hours, cleaning lock-out and check-out time were a little restrictive, but for a few nights it was okay. I could schedule my day accordingly. The room was clean and not cold, but only one shower for several rooms. Nice linens, no towels. Met several nice people.

This is not a hostel. This is international housing. Granted it was one of the cheaper places to stay in Venice but it didn't have atmosphere, any cooking facilities, the staff clearly didn't want to be there and you had to be out of your room by 9:30am and could not return until 2:00pm. Plus no baggage storage when you check out if you have a later train.

I was in Venice for just one day and I absolutely loved this hostel, its look and its location. Its located a little away from the crowded Venice and yet just a 10min walk away to the Santa Lucia train station. It's setting is beautiful as it seems to be located in a University campus. The entire facility was very spacious with no bunk-beds in the rooms. One could even consider staying here as a couple in 2-bed room. It will be really romantic. The staff is really helpful and nice.

Hostel is rather good. It's located in the old stone yard... may be it was some ancient castle? Dorms are clean and new. Staff is very attentive and cheerful)) But I'm really tied of their schedule: check-out at 9.30, tea&coffee are available only at 4-7 pm, reception is closed from 12 to 3 pm... They have no kitchen! It's very bad( So huge hostel without facilities?? And the Internet is available only at the reception until 8 pm for 1 euro per hour! It's horrible))

It's a nice, clean and well located place. Good for the money I paid. However, there is not place for interaction with other guests, and is also anoying the fact of reception closing at 8.

I wasn't really a fan of this hostel. The hostel itself was nice and clean and cheap. However, the staff wasn't very helpful. Closed reception for two whole days--which meant no staff, no common area, no microwave. Also, inconvenient reception hours in general. No fridge. No internet access at all. They advertise that they have Wifi and also a computer--No, nothing. And it was very difficult to meet people there. I traveled alone and didn't have much opportunity to meet people here.

The place is really nice and peaceful, and it s not expensive at all.. What I personally didn t like much was the fact that the common place closed at 8 pm until 9 am, there is no place to hang out! That should be the spirit of a hostel, to have a place where to meet people and rest after visiting the city. The two other things i didn t know was that internet was not included in the price, nor the city taxes and the lookers!, nothing was expensive but they should let know all this in advance...

The room is very big, which made me feel comfortable. But they don't have 24-hour service. When I arrived, no one there. So I need to be back after a couple of hours. It's not convenient.

just perfect for me and my daugther...helpfull to leave luggage while exploring before train left for next stop, safe and quiet, but close enough if you want to be more part of the hub of the city! Heaters in the cold and individual bedlamps not to bother others in the room...went again and felt like "home"...thanks a lot!!

Venice is a really expensive city and even though this hostel was still more expensive than others that I have stayed at in other cities, it was still one of the more affordable ones I could find in Venice. It was a bit difficult to find though but Venice is generally a difficult city to navigate. Regardless, it was about a 10 minute walk to S Lucia train station and the about 15 minutes walk to the main square thus it was still quite convenient. Plus the hostel was really clean and quiet.
