Property Information:
The Youth Hostel San Frediano is located in the very heart of the old town. It's a beautiful building, recently restored and can host up to 140 people in comfortable rooms disposed on 3 floors. It also has a restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served, as well as garden with an amazing view to the ancient city walls.
During your stay, you can relax in one of our 4 large common rooms, watching tv or reading a book and enjoy the athmosphere of a peaceful place. Otherwise you can visit the town and its major interesting landmarks, which are just a short walk away.
Lucca is a perfect base for touring all around Tuscany, being at a short distance from Florence, Pisa, Viareggio and the coast, Siena and San Gimignano.
Please note, if you are not a Member of Hostelling International there is an extra charge of 3 per person per night. Once you have stayed 6 nights at a HI Hostel you become a HI member, and no extra charges apply for future stays.

the local authorities have approved the application of a “STAY TAX” for all guests of hotels/hostels located in Lucca, starting from April 1st 2013
- between 1,00 Euro to 29,99 Euro per person per night the tax is 1 Euro per person per night;
- between 30,00 Euro to 69,99 Euro per person per night the tax is 1,50 Euro per person per night.
The tax applies for a maximum of 3 nights in high season (from April 1st to November 3rd). In low season the tax applies only for 1 night. Payment should be made in cash upon arrival.

This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
The hostel is non-smoking. However we have a large garden where you can relax and smoke if you wish. Free parking and free wifi internet access, for guests. Restaurant and bar service on the ground floor. Linens included in the price, towels available for rent.
