The city of Parma is very pretty, but the hostel is situated a 30min walk from the centre. Buses are available from outside the door, but finish at 10pm. The hostel is characterless and feels a little like an institute of some sort, but the beds were good and rooms cleaned daily. One staff member was helpful and quite jolly, the other was miserable and everything was too much effort. I'd recommend staying one night and visiting the city, but not longer.

It wasn't very busy so if you're travelling alone and looking to meet people, maybe skip Lucca. Or go in the summer months. But this hostel was very quaint, reasonably priced, and clean. Our room had its own bathroom as well.

It is one of the best hostels I`ve stayed at and I´d recommend it to anyone.

a lot of difficulty w/ wi fi; very little orintation to facility; no self-catering kitchen; lots of tourist folders, but little advice. otherwise , a beautiful hostel w/ fabulous location, very clean & fairly quiet. would definitely reccommend

Great hostel- right in the center of Lucca, clean, with pretty big rooms. Not the best place to meet people, but a good base for exploring the city. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful- they spent a lot of time pointing out highlights on the map and giving tips on day trips.

I really enjoyed my stay at this Hostel, it has a great atmosphere. Huge hallway and several living rooms. The hostel is also good located and everything is super easy to reach. The staff is nice and they spoke very good English. They also helped me to register my car, because the hostel is located in a ZTL (zona trafico limitado). The only thing which the hostel could improve was the wifi. The connection was only available on the common living rooms and you always had to reenter the password.
