Pleasant stay. Nice location and easy to find. Very architectural building with classical Italian style details. One of the cleanest hostels I've ever stayed.

Nice hostel in a very cool old building. Breakfast wasnt included and the room was very, very cold. Other than that, its a great hostel. Central, parking included and a good price.

The hostel was large and spread apart, without any sort of common room or central gathering area other than the front desk. For some reason, there was no internet for the night we were there, and the tv in our room was only a blue screen. If you didn't bring a book, you were kind of SOL, because there was nothing else to do within the hostel. It was pretty cold at night, but luckily we found some extra blankets in the upstairs closet.

Very big and creepy, only had wifi in lobby, good location! Overall good stay, just a tad creepy!

Unique setting near the Lucca wall - fantastic city

It was a huge and sort of lonely place. The dorm I stayed in was at the end of a long unlit hall. It'd be awesome if there were more than a dozen people staying there at a given time! Other than that, no problems. The lady who makes your food is charming and has a cute bambino. Lucca is definitely a good place to explore, regardless.

Great hostel... clean cheap and inside the city walls

when i wanted to leave the hostel, the guy at the desk asked if i had a passport. i said i have it with me, and he brings out this box with passports and wanted to give me one that he thought was mein. be careful who you give your passport to. what would have happed if i had taken this passport!?

great location right in the middle of town, very easy to find. interesting building but the place is huge, we hardly saw another person the night we were there.

Great location in the center of Lucca! This place is huge, I got lost trying to find the exit, but it still has a good amount of character. The staff was cold and did not make me feel welcome at all which was off putting but not that big of a deal. It's not a youth hostel, there were people of all ages there. The common rooms aren't really used so it isn't a good place to stay if you're looking to meet other travelers. The rooms and bathrooms were clean.

large hostel with great location. much easier to take the bus (#1 or 2) from the train station than walk.

I found the hostel to be big and soulless. It is ok to sleep in. You can access the internet upstairs if you are above the main reception. The lockers had locks but any of the locker keys opened them so not so secure. The beds and noise level was ok. Showers a bit strange but clean, one shower/bathroom allocated to each room, worked well. The hostel was completely full when I stayed but still felt a little abandoned. Very good price for Lucca and what you get.
