Contrary to many opinions, one of the best locations. If you follow their directions and listen to the hour of transport operation you are fine. This is in the most beautiful part of italy. The hostel has an unbelievable view and 2 hiking trails. Very clean and secure. Sleep like a baby. Conveniently, there are hostel shuttles to the Cinque Terre trail. The staff is fantastic (the most), Diego, Andrea, Nico. And there is a meal cooked by Nico (and his mom) every night, WELL WORTH the money.
Somewhat difficult to reach by public transport. They do drive people to riomaggiore for just a euro (cheaper than the bus, which is €1.50) if you go at one of their two set times. Biassa itself is a very quiet residential neighborhood, with almost nowhere to eat in walking distance. However, the hostel has someone come in and cook dinner and breakfast for everyone, and it was delicious and absolutely a steal for what you get! The real highlight was the chef they bring in for dinner
Good hostel for meeting people. It was very nice and clean.
Good hostel, pick up service makes things a lot easier though should be more frequent perhaps.
The location is not hard to find but when the bus took me up the mountain I was a bit surprised. There is a reason why they say not to try to walk from the station. The staff speak English well and very helpful. If you remember to bring something to eat the place has nothing to complain. There is not a store or pub around the hostel. It is located actually in the middle of the mountain.
I loved the atmosphere and it was so easy to meet people to go hiking and explore the towns with! The staff went out of their way to help you with your trip and make sure you enjoyed your stay. The food from Nico was amazing and I highly recommend eating at the Hostel. The only difficultly was that the shuttle to Riomaggiore ran at only 8:30 and 9:30 in the morning and 7 and 9 at night. You had to schedule your day around that so if you are a morning or late night person keep that in mind.
The food in the Hostel is very good! Also, Diego even gave us a ride to take some pictures in the road, and although their page says that the shuttle is 1E, they don't charge it : )
This hostel is situated in a little village 10 minutes by bus from La Spezia, with a wonderful view over the valley. The indications on the website are pretty clear. Free shuttle bus every day to and from Riomaggiore. Overall a very positive experience. Special mention for the cook, who prepares wonderful dishes Worth a restaurant. Ask for his "happy meal" if you want a picnic while hiking ;-)
One ofOne OOne of the best hostiles I have ever stayed at. Amazing staff, great food, great room, great beds. Dont let the location throw you off, they will pick you up and drop you off whenever and its so much more cost friendly than staying in one of the 5 towns.
Great service and staff, nice and quiet location. The shuttle service is extremely handly and cheap! Thank you

This was one of the better hostels that i stayed in during a two-month tour of Europe. It's clean, quiet, and the facilities are superior to most other establishments. Do not be deterred because of the seemingly remote location — there are frequent buses from the hostel to Riomaggiore (the first town in the Cinque Terre) and La Spezia. The staff were also very helpful and the breakfast was quite good. A great place to stay!
