Not the greatest hostel (though it could be worse). It is only a vaparetto ride (which are expensive) away from the tourist hub, but the staff weren't friendly, no security (I didn't even get a locker, and they have no locks on any of the doors), you have to pay for wifi, and NO hot water. On the other hand, it was clean, and you get a free breakfast. Would not reccommend it but for the fact that there doesn't seem to be many options for budget travels in Venice.

Way to expensive. You have to pay for everything you use. Its NOT free wifi, you have to pay for it, just like the towel you have to buy because they dont rent. Plus they say they are big towels when they are actually medium to small size. Bathrooms not the cleanest but not the worse either. You have to take a boat to get to the hostel which its not the most convinient since it takes about 40 minutes to get there from the train station. They dont have a very good map, so it wasnt very helpful.

Shower options: luke warm vs freezing. Location okay: on Giudicca island, so have to take Vaporetto (you're supposed to buy 7 euro tickets but nobody checks). No real atmosphere to speak of, just a place to sleep. Okay cleanliness, except for the super cold showers. Security okay, but no locks on bedroom doors, and the only key you get is the one for your locker.

It was not worth the cheap price, you have to purchase a boat pass in order to get anywhere due to it not being on the main island so you might as well pay a little more to get a place on the main island and ot have to purchase the boat pass. The facilities are very poor, no hot water at all. There are only two showers for men and an enormous bathroom for women. Rooms are not completely separated so it is extremely loud at night. Would not recomend at all.

Great hostel very good location off the main island of venice but very easy to get to the island via the water buses and they run all the time so no issues there. The atmosphere was good nice open area for everyone to sit and meet each other. Due to the large dorms there were some loud people coming in very late (5:00 AM) and talking very loudly. The breakfast was not very good could have had better selection. Overall great hostel and very reasonably priced especially for venice.

location of this place is good and close to venice main island. bed and lockers in the room are a problem..the spring base of the bed brought me back ache. Of the 3days stay on the 2nd day there was no hotwater. Staff are gud and very cooperative. definitely worth for money if you are for budget travel

Maybe it's a good idea if they make a good separation beetwen the rooms. Because the roof is like open beetwen the rooms and i had the bad luck of being right next to the room of some drunked and screaming american group. I really had the worst night since arrive in Europe.

Terrible accomodation, very poor check in process. We came back to hostel at evening and discovered that other people are sleeping on our places. So instead of taking our reserved places in women room, we have to sleep in mixed room. Never again this hostel!!

The staff in the hostel seem bored and disintrested when you speak to them. Also,as there are no age restrictions the atmosphere isn't great, prepare to be shushed at 9pm. The showers are fine but the hot water only lasts about half an hour in the morning when everyone showers.

Breakfast is included by paying a compulsary premium, very basic, bread rolls, butter, milk & cornflakes + usual hot drinks, best you could get in Venice for3euros but I prefer to be able to opt out. The bar is way overpriced,4euros for 500cl beer. The \'common area\' is more like a school dinner hall,no atmosphere, set up of rows of tables & chairs makes meeting people and socialising hard. Worst of all internet access/wifi code is not free, with 1 computer for the whole hostel. 3 euro for 20hrs

Stayed at this hostel for 3 nights. The over all oppinion is ok. The beds had bedlight and some of them also outlets. The staff was friendly and good to help. Plenty of toilets and baths for all the visiters. Also you had your own locker!Even though, the stay was a wierd mix between family, school and backpackers . The place was really crowded by school classes which made the place rather noisy and tight. The breakfast wasn't something to chear about either. But overall an ok stay! :)

You have to take the vaporetto to the hostel--there's literally no other choice from the main island. Tack on 13 euro to the price of the bed to account for it. Even then, for Venice, it's a pretty good deal. Clean, safe, free breakfast. I lost my wallet while I was in Venice, and the staff were super patient with me about figuring out how to pay them and talking on the phone with my mom the whole time I was trying to check in. There was no hot water in the showers, though, so that was a bummer.

This hostel is not located on Venice's main island, so you have to purchase a water bus ticket to get there. These tickets are fairly expensive, which hurts this hostel's value. On the other hand, it is likely that you would want a bus pass anyway in which case this hostel is great. Breakfast was excellent!
