If you're just staying a night before catching a ferry, this is the cheapest place you'll find and it will meet all of your basic needs. Not a hard walk to the port or into town and right across the street from the train station.

Our ferry from Croatia arrived late at midnight and reception claimed that they were full and didnt have our booking. We ended up getting beds- there were plenty. Room was very hot. Very close to train station.

hard to find without a map in the dark.walk right up marmontova, turn right and see a prima dept store, its on the other side of the road. it was a flat converted to rooms.hot, but a room that looked like someones living room...it had ornaments a telly and even a sofa and chair! no breakfast, and only 2bathrooms for the whole hostel. i liked it, the owner is like a mum!makes the beds and washes your clothes for 30kuna!(free if you stay 3nights)

The hostel is close to the station in a quieter position than the nearest hotels which are on a crazy main road. Good bus links from the hostel to the town centre. Perfectly adequate place to stay.

if u stay in ancona more than 1 night you need to get yourself a life. Complete hole. Sucked that the hostel was closed for a few hours during the middle of the day.

the staff were lovely and heplful, though I think it helped taht I speak a bit of Italian because they don't speak English thht well, but really kind either way. They let us shower after a day on the beach when we came to pick up our bags the next evening. Brilliant location, v close to buses, trains, ferries and a supermarket.

staff wernt too helpful..couldnt communiate with the at all. Main downer for me was the fact there was only one key for a room full of 6 people- made it feel rather unsafe.

There was not air conditioning which made our stay unbearable, and the shared dorms only had one key so that meant that people without the key had to knock on the door to get in, waking you up. I wouldn't stay here again though I don't know of any other hostels in Ancona
