materasses really in bad conditions No electric plugs in my room (room31) Poor breakfast Water in showers didn't get warm Kind staff though
Staff are great (apart from the women on reception who came across rude). The Argentinian guy with dreads on reception was very friendly and gave great advice. Had a cool balcony, dorms are separated and nice layout. A roof top bar with a swimming pool that doesn't work - nice to chill though. Free tango lessons were good fun, free popcorn at the bar, the dominoes drinking game is a must and you can play your own music through the laptop at the bar. Toast at breakfast was a bonus! But no oven!
Nice building with some cool features, for example beautiful floor to ceiling windows and balcony on our dorm. V hot and powerful showers! Helpful & knowledgeable staff. But the bed sheets didn't really fit on the beds so would slip off every night, and it didn't feel particularly clean just using a sheet between the duvets rather than knowing the duvet covers were regularly washed. Not much atmosphere, we spent 2 nights as the only 2 people in our dorm but it picked up a bit on the weekend.
We had a private room and it was perfect, really spacious and great value for money. The kitchen was a decent size and the staff really helpful. The only downfall would have to be the lack of atmosphere, we were there for five nights and each night the bar was empty.
The Brit that was working overnight was as rude as he was unhelpful. He didn't know anything about the area despite being there for several months. Everyone else was very friendly and helpful.
Decent location in San Telmo. Breakfast is ok but nothing to get excited about. Some staff is very helpful and knowledgeable while some seem to know nothing and aren't really helpful (I'm looking at you late night British desk guy). Happy hour in the bar has good deals but the bar was quite empty our two nights. The free tango lesson with Gabby was awesome!
