overall was nice, very well located in a mid class barrio, not that much clean but fine. Carolina, the girl that stays at the reception during the day (8 to 5 maybe) should be a teacher for the rest of the staff.

Very nice hostel. Very quiet at night as no parties. It may be a bit boring but was a nice sanctuary during my travels.

There are no locks (you have to buy them yourself) for the lockers, not a very clean kitchen and it was not possible to pay with a credit card.

Amazing hostel with very kind and personable staff with a super chilled vibe and options to party if that was your thing. This place felt like a home away from home (we had the most spectacular room with a balcony) clean white sheets and a comfortable bed, great communal areas and places to relax alone. Ostinatto definitely ticked all the boxes for me.

I definitely recommend a stay in this hostel! Party or not-you can choose and aren´t forced to do anything. The only negative thing is that there are rooms WITHOUT windows so make sure you get one with windows! Another thing was that one of the receptionists gave me wrong information twice about a market and bus stops so double check what they(she) says. FREE tango/yoga lessons-apples and oranges for breakfast! Go there and enjoy San Telmo! :)

The bartender Johhny was the rudest person i have ever met, he recommended that the hostel go out to a club and they took us to the ghetto with 18 year olds 30 minutes away from the hostel. Usually when personal reccommends some fun activities there at least FUN and SAFE. I almost got kidnapped at the club he paid someone to take us to. Johnny Strange is a complete douche.

Cleanliness was fair. Cleaning crew every day does good job. The guests kept things clean too, a reflection of the staff's commitment. They are helpful in all respects, and friendly too....better than a hotel. Vibe might not be for everyone; music is always on (but you can't hear it in your room, so it's ok). No AC in rooms but ok. Beds are meh, pillows were gross so bring a case (though they give you fresh sheets). Not a party hostel, but great for meeting people and having fun.

Only stayed one night but there was very loud music until quite late (2am I think) and this filtered up into the room. Otherwise quite a good hostel in many ways. Karla at the desk was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Pro: Lovely helpful friendly and interesting staff. Bar nice with great prices. So many free classes with great teachers, and chill out areas were great (kitchen, balcony, bean bag basement) Con: Time to replace some mattresses (grooved like tacos). More ceiling fans in dorms would help with humid nights. Streets are loud but same all over San Telmo.

Great location, off the main busy street. This is still in a busy area so it can get noisy at night with all the partying. The restroom and showers are shared amenities for both sexes, but you get your privacy as they are fully closed door, not just the usual semi double curtain. Still, I can understand why certain women reviewers would not feel comfortable if they desire complete separate facilities. The happy hour is cheap!! I mean you have no reason to not get your first few drinks there.
