Great staff who were immensely helpful in every question we had! 24 hour reception was really useful too. The bar was cheap and a great way to meet people, as well as being far enough away from the bedrooms that if you wanted a quiet night you easily could. Definitely recommend!

A great hostel in the heart of San Telmo. Easy walk to the city centre. Lots of events/nights out organised for good prices. Fantastic, friendly, helpful staff.

Ostinatto was great! The building has a very interesting layout, but the rooftop terrace could be bigger. Rooms were bright and airy and some had balconies. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm because I generally find more than that can get noisy, but the 8 bed dorms had a little half-wall dividing the rooms into 2, and I think that would have been fine to stay in as well. Staff was mostly travellers, very welcoming and friendly. San Telmo can be sketchy at night, but is interesting and fun by day.

Probably the best of 4 hostels I stayed at in Buenos Aires. Great location on Chile in San Telmo. Beautiful old building, really clean and modern, big dorms, comfy beds. Lots of spaces to hang out in and meet people.

I spent a week and a half in Ostinatto, and I had an absolute blast. Sure, the road-facing dorms are very noisy with traffic and some of the beds aren't perfect, but the staff (most of whom are guests themselves) were stupendous, the building was simply beautiful both inside and out, the breakfast was good and the bar was fun. Mostly, though, the atmosphere and the type of people who seemed to stay there were out of this world. Felt like the most fun home in the world.

A nice hostel in a convenient location with lovely helpful staff. Only complaint would be that it lacked a bit of atmosphere and there wasn´t really a common area other than the kitchen or the bar so harder to meet others. Not really a party hostel if that´s what you´re after. Also the showers were a bit average. Nice and clean and secure though.

This hostel is NOT a warm place. The people who work there are not friendly and didn´t even show us to our room. They offered almost no help getting to know the city, and when we asked questions, they often just said they didn´t know. Breakfast is decent, but often supplies run out before breakfast is over and no one refreshes them . A very nice building with nice dorm rooms, especially the ones with balconies. I´d stay somewhere else if I visited BA again.

The hostel atmosphere was excellent!!! It is situated in a lovely area, so you can do a lot by foot. The room was clean and even had a balcony. The recepcionists were very nice, fun and helpful. I also enjoyed the tango and yoga classes very much. Once a week they have a BBQ special, definitely a must have! And not to forget, the bar, which made us wonderful fernet-cokes. So, one of the best weeks ever during the our trip!

Nice hostel with helpfull staff - Especially the manager Sebastian was always very caring - THANKS for that!!!! Best are the dorms with balconies! Breakfast was ok. A quiet and chilled area to read a book , watch movies or just hang out would be nice!

Looks very much like an institution, a military barrack or something like that. While it is not filthy it is not really clean either. The biggest problem however is that there is a real shortage of powersockets. That means that if you want your camera, cell phone or anything that requires charging now and then you may want to consider staying somewhere else. Thee are a few extra in the basement but that doesn't really solve the problem. It is also very warm during summer.

Stayed here 5 nights. At first was a little sceptic about this place, then once I got to know some staff and travelers it was good. The dinning table is very large and makes for easy conversation with others. Kitchen is very good with at least 8 stove top burners and two fridges. I liked the rooftop terrace, great for a sunset drink. To get into the building u have to ring the loud doorbell that sounds throughout the whole buidling, feel sorry for front desk person having to get up everytime 4 it

I stayed at Ostinatto on three seperate occasions during my time in Argentina -because I loved it so much! The hostel is the perfect blend of fun and relaxation, not a party hostel with drunken hoards spilling onto the side walk, but also not a stuffy hostel. The layout is funky and modern with an amazing roof top patio on the 5th floor. Staff are helpful, genuine and friendly and there are lots of activities and specials on offer. Clean and bright. Ask for a room with a balcony.

I really enjoyed the week that I spent at Ostinatto. The staff were all friendly and helpful, with great advice about what to visit and where to eat and drink. The bar and the enormous kitchen are great places to meet people and you will quickly get to know most of the other guests. Excellent hostel and excellent location in San Telmo (easily the coolest barrio in Buenos Aires).

Good hostel, we have been there 5 nights the beds are comfortable, the place is near to everything, there's a nice roof and a good place to make new friends. However don't have air condition and the breakfast could be better after sometime didn't have more milk and the worst thing is about alcohol that we can not consume it inside the hostel having to buy at the bar inside the hostel.

Ostinatto is a trendy hostel with great staff and a very decent breaky! The rooms are spacious, the building is beautiful, the showers are hot. We were a group of 5 girls from Australia and had an awesome time. We got great directions from the staff for seeing the city and heading out at night. Would recommend this place highly.
