We loved this hostel! It was directly in front of the train station, and the owners were very helpful! Their dog was adorable, and the room clean and comfortable. We all felt safe, and had the use of our own bathroom. Perfect hostel--I'd definitely recommend!

I woke up at midnight to find out I am sharing my bed with loads of bedbugs (and about 5 different species, too). I was staying in the 10 bed dorm, alone. There were even bugs crawling on the empty top bunk bed and also on the drawer, where I had placed my clothes. Eventually I found someone of the staff who first wanted me to move to another bed, which I refused to do as there were bugs on the wall as well. I was moved to another room then, which was ok. Staff didn't speak english, too.

This place is in a great location from the train station and the ruins and town. However I booked a female 6 bed dorm which apparently doesn't exist, that was fine but placed into a room that was infested with bed bugs. I couldn't sleep there wondered around until I found somewhere else in the hostel to sleep. When I told the staff in the morning they didn't seem suprised and I'm pretty sure the room was made back up and nothing done about the bed bugs in there. Be aware.
A good hostel. Friendly staff. Their English is not strong, but we English should learn some Italian to get by. Good value meals. Very close to centre of Pompei and local train to Herculaneum and Napoli and a short walk from rear entrance to ruins.

Loved this hostel......more of a hotel, v clean, central, wonderful courtyard
The lady made us the best pasta I have ever had for just 5€. Hostel id nice and location too, it is pretty calm and has lots of families. Only bad thing the staff don't know a word of English.
No windows and conditioner for free only 4 hours.
Neat Hostel with a good staff. We even had airconditioning. Only the shower was a bit broken..
When we arrived thay tried to group us with another girl, how ever considering we are a couple and in this particular accommodation we decided to pay more for a private room, and were looking forward to some privacy, it was a bit awkward. The situation was rectified with the owner telling us we would have to move the next day, we asked in the morning and they said later, at the end of the day they said later again and this was annoying as we wanted to have showers and settle for the night.
The owners were grumpy and rude. At 12:30am one of the owners came banging on our door when we were in bed loudly and impolitely telling us that we had to pay for the air conditioning after 4hrs of use, we didn't want to cause a fuss so we turned it off. Then at 6:45am I woke up to a man in our room, he took the remote for the air conditioning without staying a word. They forced us to leave a half hour before checkout and then demanded €4 for the air con we didn't even use. We felt harassed.
They cooked pasta for everyone and offered it to the guests. Then when I wanted to check out they charged an outrageous 11euros for dinner. The dinner wasn't good and I ate it because I felt bad that no one was eating the food they cooked. For an Italian to cook bad pasta and then charge 11euros for it, is inexcusable. It should have been 3euros Maximum. The dorm I stayed in didn't lock properly.
The owners are amazing but I didn't have the best experience there. I arrived late, showered and then went to bed. I woke up shortly after to discover there were bed bugs. I left the room and proceeded to tell the man working the night shift what was going on but he didn't speak English. He was closing up and didn't want me in e restaurant but wouldn't let me use the phone to calla hotel and turned all the lights off on me to try to get me to move. The owners cleaned the next day.
3 people working there, one very very friendly and nice old guy, felt great when he was around, and the other 2 are a couple. the lady is nice enough and the guy never smiled and looked like he hated what he was doing.. The place is very quiet, very nice location. They didn't let me use the AC while sleeping so it can get hot at night and they had bedbugs in the dorms. but as soon as I told them, they closed it and started a deep cleaning of the room.
The owners both seem very grumpy and uninterested in anything except taking your money. (General vibe of Pompeii, skip staying here, just make a day trip out of it from Napoli) It would seem cleanliness isn't a top priority, after waking up with bites we noticed bed bug like stains on pillows and the sheets. Will never stay here again nor would we recommend anyone else to stay here!
this hostel is absolutely amazing, it's pretty quit, but the staff, the atmosphere and the food was excellent!
Great hostel! I really enjoyed the calm and sunny atmosphere. The fact that everything is clean, well managed + the owners and staff are friendly and welcoming made this one of the best hostels I've ever been to. Though the location is very central and good, I had some difficulties in finding the place when using Google maps on my smartphone. So just follow the instructions given by the hostel (those given after the reservation) and you'll be there in no time.
Great option if you're arriving by train and visiting the ruins - both are in walking distance. Recommend staying two nights so you have a whole day at the ruins (you'll need it). The staff are great, the garden is awesome. The only thing that needs fixing is the shower head in one odd the rooms and the limited supply of hot water (but everything else more than makes up for this).
Bit of a mix up with our room and communication was poor to start with, but once we got past that we really enjoyed our stay. The owner and his wife are lovely. One downfall is that there is only one key for a 10 bed dorm, so the owner doesn't give it out. We weren't particularly happy about not being able to lock our dorm but having said that nothing got stolen. The food from the restaurant is gorgeous, all freshly prepared by the owners wife and really cheap.
Good for what you pay. Had mix ups with the morning staff, got put into a wrong room and had to go back and sort it out, which took a while Due to the language barrier. Also had an argument with them about paying for breakfast when it clearly states on hostelworld that it is included in the rate! I didn't pay and either should you. It was clean and close to the ruins, but be wary of getting ripped off
