This place didn't give me the cleanest feel in the world, by any stretch. It's located extremely close to the stuff downtown though.

About Ottawa Backpackers Inn
The Ottawa Backpackers Inn is safe, clean and friendly.
We are centrally located and are close to almost all tourist attractions including the Parliament, Rideau Canal, Byward Market, the University of Ottawa, 24hrs super market. We are also near many pubs/bars and restaurants, and much more.
We have a fully equipped kitchen and offer free tea and coffee. The 24-hour supermarket is only a two minute walk away.
Check-In is welcome from 12pm - 12am.
Parking for $7CDN per Night.
