My boyfriend & I visited Ottawa for Winterlude. The location was outstanding for the fest! In fact the location is just outstanding, it is close to everything. Ottawa is an incredibly active city and the whole city is walkable so we parked our car for the weekend & never had to move it. The beds were comfortable enough and after a long day filled with lots of skating and lots of dancing we slep very well. The staff was very kind and helpful. Over all it was a wonderful experience.

Very nice hostel ! Big kitchen, nice living room, same for bathrooms ... Very clean. Staff is quite nice. Would go back!

nice place to stay for a couple of days,,close to byward market and metro ....only issue is that the wifi is inconsistent

Great kitchen facilities, WiFi also quite good. Fun, knowledgable and attentive staff. Enjoyed the homely atmosphere and close to the main museums. Heating was amazing which is much needed when it was so damn cold outside! Loved the hostel cat haha

Our room was really nice and spacious. Kitchen was kind of small but the common room was really nice. Close to the city so the location is excellent!

Given that there are not many hostels in Ottawa this is certainly a decent place to stay if you are looking for a place to crash. I can't really comment too much on the atmosphere as I was only really in the hostel to sleep but the hostels location is fantastic as it is close to lots of museums, bars and restaurants. While you did pay for all of the extra's such as towels the wifi was free and the bathrooms clean and really what more can you ask from a hostel.

I like the whole atmosphere, but when i asked for the battery for remote, the staff wasnt being very helpful. And everytime i want to change the channel i have to get off the bed, and its cold in winter! but still like there. People are really friendly

Stayed only one night when flight back to Canada arrived too late to catch a bus to my hometown. It was quiet, good because I just wanted to rest after a long journey. The most disappointing part of my stay was the bed linen: The sheets were mismatched, and the pillowcase was worn with holes in it. Yuck. Kitchen facilities looked good (for those who like to self-cater). My room was in what resembled a student apartment in an old house (probably was just that at one time). Good WiFi connection.

very appriciated the unlimited excellent coffee...I miss the coffee aroma every morning when I wake up & every late afternoon when Ive got back to the backpackers!

I had a great time here. I love the communal lounge area - somewhere for everyone to chill and watch a movie.

Nice hostel, very close to Byward market. Decent facilities with kitchen and a computer in the lounge. Staff were friendly and theres an outside balcony if you fancy some air.
