Log cabin style rooms situated on the banks of a river. Rooms are all en suite and lead onto a deck overlooking the river. The communal lounge dining area has a large open fire, wood burning oven and fully equipped kitchen.
Situated amongst the wine farms, within easy walking distance of world famous restaurants, museums and galleries. Surrounded by mountains for hiking, mountain biking, trout fishing, abseiling or just chill and sip wine by the pool. Close drive to shark diving, surfing, whale watching, and Cape Town make it an ideal base to see the Winelands.

I liked the hostel, as it is quietly situated in a nice orchard. It is really simple but provides the necessary basics. Franschhoek's main street is close by. I must admit that we were lucky to still carry some DEET-containing insect repellent, because I think there were about 15 mosquitoes in our room! We would probably have had a horrible night without the repellent but were luckily left alone now. I would recommend providing mosquito nets in the rooms!
