The hostel itself and staff were great. If noise bothers you, don't stay here. My friend was really bothered by the music coming in from outside (on Saturday night). The staff was very accommodating, offering us different rooms, but they were still pretty loud. Personally, the noise didn't bother me and I think OMP is a good hostel.

It's an outstanding hostel. the staff is extremely friendly and helps when ever it can. for example we had even an awesome tour through manila which was held by an employee from the hostel. furthermore, the facilities and rooms are very clean. if i would go to manila again i would always choose this hostel. thanks for the time.

I love the at-home feeling in OMP so much. The staff attitude is very good also. I'll choose OMP to stay in my next trip to the Philippines.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The owner helped us figure out how to take a jeepney and the train to sight see around town. The most amazing part was that we hadn't even asked for help- he just saw us walking around outside and recognized us. There was a small mix-up the first night we stayed but we were refunded the whole amount for that night. Thanks for a great place to stay!

3 words to describe this hostel...SERENITY , AMAZING and HOME upon my arrival , the staff at the reception area where very welcoming and yet friendly. unlike my previous stays at 4-5 star hotels, staff where not as accommodating as the staff at the OMP. So i basically got treated as if i was in a Top Class hotel yet its only a Hostel. The rooms and dormitory are well cleaned and comfortable to sleep in. What was even Amazing was the toilets and Showers where of top cleanliness.

We enjoyed our stay here. We especially enjoyed the fact that there were curtains around each bed for privacy. A small but really nice touch! The owner helped us locate the nicer part of the city- we just wish we had ran into him the first day! The Red Light district is the closest pedestrian friendly area so if you're not into that, ask for directions to a nicer part of town.

Overrated - Disappointed - I left to go to another hostel on my last day despite having already fully paid. The hostel lacks atmosphere with the common area akin to a doctors waiting room right next to reception. Unisex toilet block separated by frosted glass and open at the top, similar to what you might expect at a music festival or construction camp. Wash basin/mirror in hallway with no door. No room in the showers to put clothes down. Dorm rooms okay & hostel staff nice and friendly.

We're taking all these as constructive feedback. They give us an opportunity to improve on our service offering. We would just like to say though that every experience is relative to the individual. Thanks.

The hostel is across the street from a night club. I could the music very loud and clear. Unluckily I came prepared. I talked to another person staying at the hostel. He said he could not hear any music. Maybe it was just the 8 person dorm room. All of the can drivers speak english. Tell them you do not want to take the toll road. If you go to departures you can get a local white cab. These cab drivers are cheaper. It shouldn't cost more than 250 pesos.

OMP is a nice hostel located in Makati, Manila, the business district and one of the safer places in Manila. Very clean, great beds. The other facilities were nice and new, too. The staff was very pleasant and always did what they could to help. Their English is pretty good, too. They tried to give trip advice, though they knew only a little bit about Manila. Other than that, they helpfully contacted different tour agencies and placed other phone calls if asked. I'd stay there again.

This hostel is right in the middle of where you not want to be with your children. Other than that, you get a friendly place to stay, very helpful staff, free breakfast and a huge kitchen, enough showers, AC, ... Definitely reccomendable (if you don't mind to stay in this area...).

Beware that the twin room means your beds will be topped and tailed, not ideal for couples - but a known quantity. Staff helpful, they run free tours of Intramuros which is awesome and helps with getting to know an intimidating city.. Right across the road from markets, hostel located in a great part of Manila but very hard to find, no signs, like the MIB building! Haha.. Rooms are very small and very noisy. Was maybe expecting something better given the high rating %. Not great value for money.

This was my second stay with Our Melting Pot. The staff was friendly as usual and they definitely make you feel at home there. It's also a great way to meet people to explore the city.

Friendly atmosphere. Excellent location. Staff most helpful. Rooms for single extremely spartan: no table,no chair, no window, wi fi not effective, no bathroom. Not so cheap for a very minimum comfort. Some hotels around are a much better deal.

I love my stay in OMP. It's locates right next to A Venue, where you can eat & shop, along the Makati Avenue. If you need help, the staffs are always nice and helpful! They also keep the place very clean. OMP is definitely worth its value. They serve free breakfast in the dinning area from 07:00 to 11:00, with a variety of choices. You can also sign up for some day trips there. Throughout my stay there, I met a lot of awesome people from all over the world. I'd love to stay there again :)
