This is a hostel not worth staying at, very damp and dark, door to bathroom can not be closed and sometimes the water runs out...There is a funky smell and the wifi don't work for more than a minute at a time. The breakfast is good!

clean, good breakfast, a/c working properly, kind staff

Good location, good breakfast and nice staff. No common room and no interaction with other guests. The room is really small with no locker.

This hostel is beautifully settled in a green garden, it's got a pool table and the breakfast is superb! I don't really know why the atmosphere is pretty much dead and the reviews not so good, because it really would have the potential!

It is a Hotel that they transformed into a hostel so they keep the good thinks as a great breakfast and other hostel services but are lacking things as atmosphere and a friendly staff. The staff was efficient but not friendly in general as it will be in a hotel I guess. They were arguing with each other quite often and the manager was arguing with staff in front of the guests. When the owner was there it was ok as he was friendly and gave us good advices. No atmosphere.

No wi-fi. Poor breakfast.

Friendly staff however we were left outside for sometime overnight as they couldn´t hear the doorbell over the TV they were watching. Our private room price jumped from 110 to 440 on a saturday night despite the hostel itself not being full.

Wi Fi doesn't work

it happens very offen in the island , this is all the truth

Nice, spacious wooden panelled room with sea view and fridge. Tiny bathroom. Kitchen and common area available to use but no one really there when we were so quiet. Breakfast really good with lots of choice. Convenient to reach pier, shops and trail to beach. One of the staff spoke English. Room was cleaned daily which was great! Space outside to hang wet clothing. This was one of the better places we stayed in in Brazil!

Overnativa is a 2 minute walk to the beach so great location. Most staff don't speak english so a little hard communicating. Awesome brekkie, can use the kitchen from 5pm-10pm. We didn't have power 2 out of the 3 days, it wasn't their fault and it's no biggy... They brought us lights and candles which was nice.

Great hostel with really helpful and friendly staff. Amazing breakfast. Would definitely recommend Overnativa!

Mould everywhere, including on the pillows! Roof was leaking. If you came back to the hostel late at night, you were supposed to be buzzed in. However I had to climb the fence on two occasions as the late night staff was too busy listening to music to hear the buzzer. No hot water in our dorm shower. Absolutely zero atmosphere at the hostel.

Really friendly staff and great breakfast. We felt really welcome.

Overall, good enough. Rustic, cozy vibe. Excellent breakfast and Roger was eager to give recommendations about the area (although it wasn't the best and he wasn't there all of the time). Large, fully-equipped kitchen, large common space and washers. Using washers costs extra and not enough sunny places to dry clothes. Wifi only in common areas, not in rooms. A bit out of the way, but it's a small, walkable village. Bathroom could have been cleaner.

The Room was very dirty with a lot of insects and mosquitos.

Like others said already before, most of the people who work there are not very friendly and helpful. Most of them dont speak english. Everything else is ok.

On the first night the bed I slept in was itchy. I'm not sure if it was the bed or the Mosquitos but i couldn't sleep until 2am. In the dorm the fan and air conditioning didn't work. Moreover, there was a crack in the window so no way to control the temperature or stop the Mosquitos biting you. However, the breakfast was good, and you get a wide variety of items to choose from. You get grenola and oats etc, alongside fruit, cake (savoury and sweet), as well as bread with ham and cheese

Very unfriendly and rude staff! Horrible beds and dirty rooms. Unfortunately I cant recommend this hostel...
