Very good hostel. Cool environment and clean beds and bathrooms. Just a short walk to the Maine sites in Oxford- everything you would need.

I was really impressed. Having stayed at a couple of hostels recently, yours really stood out in character and charm, as well as service. You didn't even charge me to borrow a towel! The Wifi was free! Simply fantastic.

Staff were not helpful with early check in and the person in charge turned up late for his shift

Clean showers without queues in the morning, very helpful personnel (e.g. you could always reach them and e.g. borrow a padlock or a hair dryer with no extra charge), a nice kitchen with name tags on everyone's food. Breakfast - toast, jam, Nutella, peanut butter and tea/coffee. On Friday night there was a big party in the hostel, and in general the night club next door is really loud - so don't forget your earplugs!

Not as nice as French hostels and not as quaint and inexpensive as Scottish hostels. It is, however lively, as one would expect of a hostel in a university town in the south of England. Bathrooms: Clean and with good showers. Dorms: Could be a touch cleaner perhaps, but otherwise fine. Common area: Just right. Kitchen: Nothing to complain about.

This is probably the worst hostel I've ever lived in. The facilities are very basic. The bedding is not changed for the next guest. So many people living but only three toilets available. You can imagine the scenario during the rush hour. What surprised me most was there was no coffee available for breakfast. But If you think of the money, it is fair enough. But I personally Won't come back again.

Unfortunately, the sheets have not been changed for every new guest so that two girls in my room had to sleep in used sheets. Also the lockers are tiny and you can't even fit your laptop in their. It is quite central though and I had everything I needed for the two nights.

It would have been reasonable to have a dishwasher for so many people. There were some food remainders in the sinks, which were nasty, I think. This discouraged me from using the kitchen.

Relaxed hostel, friendly staff, great location. Stayed 2 times and think it has not changed since the 1st time. The hostel could benefit from a good clean and a lick of paint. The room was clean, it was just the common areas that were dirty. Stayed in 100's of hostels and am rarely disappointed. This should be a really good hostel but it's the combination of a lot of little things that let it down. ie no sponge and washing liquid in the kitchen = I can't clean up properly for the next person.
