We only stayed one night but it was a cool hostel, good facilities and old school hostel charm.

I only stayed one night, but it's a fun place. Plenty of room to move about it, and everything you need. Staff are super friendly. No lockers though... and I hope they fix up the wifi router to provide a stronger signal in the rooms!

really enjoyed my stay here, great staff, hard to fault. i would definitely stay here again.

It's great, cosy, with great location, defenitely would choose it again.

I stayed there for a week and for the duration of this whole period the ONLY soap dispenser was out of order. NO soap,REALLY? Not even a hand dispenser? I am sure there still wont be any now. Also loose toilet seats,and sometimes no toilet paper in the dispenser. My dorm room would not shut properly and that was a point of safety concern. but the worst of all...breakfast over the weekends was snothing short of a disaster. Simply slapped down on a dirty table cloth, no finesse.

Great place. Everything clean, staff terrific and accommodating. Free breakfast. Great location. Stay here when you come to Oxford!

Quite good place to stay but not worth value for money, there's no organise space for a lounge, dirty with full of rubbish and the breakfast wasn't very good as well (running out of milk, no stock and we have to wait for couple of minutes to get a new milk).really disappointed!

Solid hostel, only stayed 1 night so can't really make too much more of a comment.

nice service to have free breakfast at the hostel, but a few more bowls & spoons would be good for allowing guests to eat.

Excellent location, walking distance to bus stop/train stn. All doors have codes. Clean rooms, clean showers. Would definitely stay here again.

Considering the quality of hostels in the UK, this was one of the better ones. Unfortunately staff knowledge on local attractions and tours could be improved, otherwise this hostel is nice. I felt safe and comfortable.

The staff is very nice and helpful. It couldn't be better. The location is excellent.

lots of mixed reviews but i don't understand why.. definitely a highlight of my travels so far :) homely.. friendly.. big common room with a bar!! kitchen was freshly renovated while i was there and looked great.. fancy new stoves! staff were welcoming and took us all out with them on the weekend (free entry to clubs! weee) most importantly, showers were always hot and spacious enough for clothes and towel. too good, i'll be seeing you again soon Oxford :)

love the atmosphere of the hostel good and friendly and well respected staff. comfortable bed a friendly environmental.i would definitely comeback to this hostel.

I wanted to stay for one more day so I booked one more night, and 30 minutes later I have to go another place and and I asked for the money I just paid. But they didn't pay back me the money.. I really do not understand that rules. A part of this, I had a drunk guy in my room who did pee inside my boots and throwed up for all the room. It was not a nice night, and although its not the hostel guilt, neither mine.

OBH is definitely a party hostel. Great if that's what you're looking for, but don't plan on other guests being respectful of you trying to sleep at 4 am or anything like that. They claim no stag parties allowed, but the weekend I was there there was a 2 night, huge, highly organized stag party group that made no attempt to disguise itself.
