Very dissapointed with staff attitude, unhelpful and vague and not welcoming at all! They acted like we were an inconvenience and were drinking! Hostel was next to a loud nightclub - could not sleep. No parking offered within a 10 minute drive. The computers weren't working and the staff did not know the wifi code so we had no internet access. It was smelly and unpleasant. Beds were so small and when I pulled back the smelly bedding, I didn't really find a pillow so much as a slip of paper with the word "pillow" written on it. Saw staff clean 1 time in the 3 days I was there, staff could be very rude except for manger, Mike, who was the only redeeming feature of this hostel. Relaxed, very friendly staff. Provision of unusually large storage for own food in kitchen. Security features are more than many other Hostels. A good atmosphere and helpful reception. I can recommend this hostel to 100%!! Beds are comfortable, bathrooms clean and big showers, whats amazing if you have to share the bathroom =) Also the breakfast is nice! But the best of all is the STAFF!! Amazing people, and they offer you to go out with them if you are travelling alone! I just can say it was an amazing stay and I will definately come back again!!I can recommend this hostel to 100%!! Oxford Backpackers was a very cozy, funky hostel. The free breakfast in the morning was nice because it was like most free hostel breakfasts (toast and butter and jam), but with a little more (nutella, cereal and milk, juice). Cleanliness rating was just due to the fact that in the actual dorm it seemed like the floors were never cleaned, so it was a little gross, but not that big of a deal. A brilliant hostel with great people, great atmosphere and breakfast included. The rooms are nice, the art on the walls is fantastic.
