A little cramped but warm and great location. Renovations at the time so no kitchen but the staff made all allowances to try accommodate.

Good location and it was okay for a two nights stay, but I would not recomend it since you most likely can find hostels that give you better value for money in oxford. The hostel was worn down and the common room and kitchen were dirty. The toilets and showers were fairly clean and the room was okay, but there were no hangers or drawers to put your stuff. When we were preparing breakfast at 9.55 the staff started to put things away, which wasn't very service minded.

Called them that night I needed a room, staff were very accommodating and gave me a great space to sleep. Other sleepers were respectful, helpful, and quiet when I came in when I came in while they were asleep and when I slept in.

Clean facilities, good location but atmosphere wasn't great and staff weren't as friendly as other hostels I have stayed at. Would still recommend to others.

The hostel staff were great. The hostel was in a great spot just a quick walk into Oxford. Lots of fun!

Definitely a "youth" hostel demographically and atmospherically, e.g., lounge "music" built around jack-hammers as the main musical instrument and very few guests and no staff over 25.. But that area is well-insulated from the dorm rooms--the corridor of which, however, is unwisely used as a social lounge (for staff as well as guests). Breakfast was nondescript, generic continental. Good location, given proximity to the train station. Don't be put off by the worn, gray carpeting on the stairs.

You get what you pay for with this Hostel, located near several clubs and bars so probably not the best place to stay if you are in town for work. Brilliant place to stay if you just want to have a good night out and explore the city during the day. Staff can get you acces to several clubs at night and the bar is very well priced!

I had an awesome time at the Oxford Backpackers, we had drinks at the bar and then went out clubbing, the staff is very friendly and the place is very clean.

A very good experience thanks especially to the kindness of Gaia, Riccardo and Giorgio who made my stay very pleasant. They will make you feeling at home and immediately at ease with everything: and they can even make a proper espresso!

I have met one of the most astonishing guys in my life, and casual question "how's it going?" became a 5 hour long discussion! It couldn't be bad!

Great place to stay, well located, good for meeting nice people, very friendly staff. The facilities are clean, the atmosphere is great for partying, but sometimes not too great for rest since the bedrooms are shared; nevertheless, guests are fairly respectful of their roommates' sleep. Breakfast included! I would recommend it for young travellers and party-goers, not for quiet or higher-budget ones.

This place has some pretty mixed reviews, but from my experience, I couldn't ask for a better hostel! All the staff, from whatever background and whatever experience of English they had were always keen to help. I was there over a weekend and the place had a wonderful atmosphere! After having a few cheap drinks at the bar in the hostel, the staff encouraged everyone to follow them to some local clubs which they could get us free entry into! Perfect for a traveller on a tight budget!

Oxford Backpackers was the best hostel I have ever stayed at! Such a great vibe about the place, the common room was alive and full of people having a good time. There’s even a pool table and an awesome bar. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and the duvets were super warm. And the staff! They were friendly and helpful, telling me all of the best places to go around Oxford and taking us out. I highly recommend OB to anyone who is looking for a good time, and a safe, happy place to stay.
