Good hostel, friendly staff...quite noisy at night, though.

very welcoming and helpful staff, communal feel, great location, good showers, kitchen facilities and private bar is a lovely touch. pool table too :) all in all very enjoyable and pleasant. the city has great little shops and historical places of interest alongside modern conveniences. found locals to be very nice too and felt safe. also not expensive and has a nice variety of food and outdoor market

More tea towels available in kitchen. In men's washroom for washing at the basins hooks for clothes and shelves for washing kit. It is very wet around the basins. In room 11 a dim light near the door; it is very dark there.

People were very polite and location of the hostel is excellent!! The experience was also multi-cultural so I got a chance to speak in Spanish and practice my Japanese!!

Staff were nice but somewhat disgruntled with the owner. A healthier employer-employee relationship would improve the hostel a lot.

Kind and helpful staff on reception - especially as I was late arriving and they had finished for the evening. Much appreciated welcome. Basic but friendly.

The hostel is quite ok, given that there are not so many of them in Oxford. Lockers were too small for my laptop :/ Kitchen is small. Common area is small. Bathroom is good. Staff was in general friendly, but there was one incident: when i gave my stuff to laundry, including my own beddings and a towel, they returned only my clothes, coz they thought that the beddings were theirs, and they even did not say sorry. but why on earth should i put THEIR bedding stuff in MY laundry bag? strange peopl

The bathroom was just a mess - dirty, smelly.... The room was not much better either.

Best thing about this hostel was the location. Easy to walk to from the station and very close to the centre of town, with lots of great restaurants etc nearby. Nice common room with pool table and tv. Wasn't happy with the reception we received from one of the staff members. Lots of dust under the bed got my stuff dirty, and there wasn't a dry space in the bathroom to put anything down. Reasonable for a short stay but not great.

The bathrooms needed more regular cleaning. Some toilets weren't working which was really a pain. The included breakfast was awesome especially if you're on a budget, it's pretty much all you can eat.

One of the best atmosphere I've ever found in any hostel. It could be very relaxing after a long city walks or pub-crawls. The staff is helpful (and the girls are quite pretty as well). The location is superb, both the city centre and the train station is within a 5 minutes walking distance.
