there are cheaper options that are more centrally located, with better amenities. oyuna has a pit toilet that isn't particularly pleasant, and there are two showers for the entire hostel, in a shed.. that doesn't have the greatest hot water pressure.there are cheaper options that are more centrally located, with better amenities. oyuna has a pit toilet that isn't particularly pleasant, and there are two showers for the entire hostel, in a shed.. that doesn't have the greatest hot water pressure....Close

While Gan and Oyuna, the owners, are lovely and helpful this guesthouse is let down by its location and lack of facilities. It was quite busy while we were there and there is only one sink, two toilets and two showers - a lot to share between about 25 people! The location is not far from the town (25min walk to main square) but there is no street lighting and the area feels unsafe even in the daytime. The double room was nice and there is a ger in the courtyard but there are better hostels in UBWhile Gan and Oyuna, the owners, are lovely and helpful this guesthouse is let down by its location and lack of facilities. This is a really cool place. A little hard to find but when you are there, not far to anywhere. The family really go out of their way to make you happy, and this is reflected in the cosy feel of the place. Okay, the breakfast isn't much, but neither is the price. This is a really cool place. Easily the best hostel on Olkhon Island. Olga is like a babushka, and the food is amazing. A genuine Olkhon Island experience. They\'ve even got an overflow place next door which is great too.Easily the best hostel on Olkhon Island. Olga is like a babushka, and the food is amazing. A genuine Olkhon Island experience.
