The overall stay way good. Location was good, staff and caffe and market was good but there is much needed improvement. The camp ground more specifically the tents cold be more organized on how things are set up. It felt like the tents were just thrown up with no thought. Over grounds keeping needs to be improved. Grass was knee high which let to the excessive Mosquito issue. Need outlets in the tents not enough outlet to go around.

Fantastic views and easy to get into the city with regular buses. Wifi was a little temperamental and charge points in the tents would have been great. Reception staff were very helpful. All in all we'd definitely come back

Plus camping michelangelo nice but a bit dated. Good location for a great view of florence. About15 walk from florence centre.

This was my first camping hostel experience, and it was great. The hostel may not be in the city center, but it's not a far walk or bus ride, and the view is absolutely amazing. The tents are clean, there are plenty of toilets and showers, the market is fairly extensive, and the staff, both at reception and at the bar, are wonderful. The only thing I would change is the Wifi, which gets extremely slow when multiple people are using it. Also, lockers are located in the "shared" area and cost.

Easy to access-45 mins on bus from SMN station, facilities ok but not as good as other PLUS! Camping hostels-main disappointments are lack of power in tents, poor wifi connectivity and lack of privacy in showers (small wooden swinging doors) compared to full doors in other hostels/camp sites-can see everything when walking past! All toilets were randomly closed at the same time one night with queues of people gathering! Staff polite but nothing extraordinary! VERY noisy club next door til 3am!

Staff helpful, buses regular, mini market good, no power in tents but had points available to rent or use shared ones when quiet, room wasn't cleaned properly when we arrived but good enough, bathrooms ok- due to wet weather there was dirt everywhere, good price and amazing views :)

It´s a 4km hike from Stazione SMN, but the view is completely worth it. Account for a 45min walk to the city centre in either direction and you´ll be fine. Mini mart has a good selection, but expensive, as you would expect. This is above the river, so expect some bugs. Lavendar spray works amaying to keep most bugs away, even mosquitos. I am planning to stay here again. Only thing is nightclub above the grounds is quite loud on some nights (wed, fri, sat, I believe.)

This camping site is near the palazzo michelangelo which has a beautiful panorama view of the city. During our stay there the toilets where unclean all the time. Our tent was what we paid for... ok we ordered it without bugs and leaks but it didn't rain so that wasn't a problem. The wifi is a bad joke. You can't use it cause its totally unstable and has a minimal range. The restaurant has a lovely panoramic view and the pizza is really good. Even if we had to wait 60 min cuase we go ignored

I loved staying here, the tents were more like outdoor rooms with faux timber flooring. It is only a short walk to town and on the way you get the most amazing view so it is very rewarding. I met a lot of fun people and they had great valued drinks. The only downside was the wifi!

I had a great time at Camping Michelangelo! Florence is a beautiful city and while you are not in the centre of the city you are not far away. It was such a great blend of camping and hostelling with a beautiful view from the restaurant and the common area that's worth the short walk. The tents have comfortable beds and 2 blankets each which was really considerate (and necessary!). A really great vibe to the place. The only negative. Absolutely no kitchen. No microwave, stove or BBQ.

If you like camping then great... We've decided that we don't. Has everything a campsite needs. The real problem was the noise of the outdoor nightclub just up the road. We stayed there on a Saturday

We went to Plus Camping Roma before, and Michelangelo was not really the same. The location is good (20 minutes foot from City Center) but it's a little bit dirty. Toilets and showers weren't clean the 3 days we went there, in comparison with Camping Roma. The bar and terrace are nice, staff cool. We slept in a tent that was infested with bugs, we asked to change and it was not a problem. The 2nd tent was perfect. Clean tent, clean sheets and clean floor. We recommend it for a short stay.

The worst place ever, showers: bugs everywhere+they never clean it, says free wifi, but signal is so weak nobody could use internet, tent: bugs all over, mosquitos, spiders, slugs, you get 1 blanket full of other peoples hair, freezing cold at night in may, rude person at front desk , gave me this angry look and attitude cause i was 30min late for check out while after i left my tent i used bathroom and wait 10-15 min in line at the desk for somebody to check in, at least 20 min uphill from centr

Staying in a tent was not optimal for us. We had ants all over the tent and the light was not working for the first two days. But considering the price it was an okay place to stay at.

Excellent value-for-money in Florence. A bit far from the city center but easily reached by foot nonetheless. The tents are by definition not the most secure but usually, people in the camping are not there to steal your belongings so I'll say it's reasonably safe. The staff is extremely friendly and the view from nearby piazza Michelangelo is amazing. The only downside is that it gets very cold during the night so bring warm clothes for bed and the wifi is accessible only from the restaurant.
