The hostel was in a great location, it had a great view of Florence and when we were there on 12th and 13th of September there was a gelato festival next to the campsite which was really good. We visited at end of the season and you couldn't escape the feeling that the staff weren't couldn't really be bothered. Our tent didnt have a plug in it which was annoying as the only places you could charge things was in the bar area where you couldn't leave electronics unattended. REALLY POOR SIGNANGE!!
Toilets are not kept clean, rentable tents are mouldy and let in water when it rains and the locks difficult to use. Long walk to the top of the hill to go to the bathroom which stinks. Wayyyy to many big hungry mosquitos for my liking so bring lots of bug spray. Otherwise good location on the hill overlooking florence and staff where as friendlyas you can get considering you are in italy... Also there is an extra fee onto of the bill at the end which was not made clear.
mosquitos in there sucking blood like a vampire. I mean they are not regular mosquitos, they are mutant. Be ready for that and bugs of course because it's a camping site. Just a little far from the city centre but it's ok. Get your raincoat or umbrella because these tents leak. on the other hand atmosphere was great in a forest, just out of city and has a perfect view of city. bar was good also. if you are thinking walk to there at your first night, do NOT. just get on the bus.
I got a shared tent. According to price, it was really nice to stay there. The most important point is the distance between there to Michelangelo park which has a wonderful view of Florence. Highly Recommended :)
The camping is really well, you have a very nice area with tables, music and internet access, with a great view of the city. The staff is really warm, they help you with all they can. They give you clean sheets when you arrive, that's good, yet the tents could be a bit more clean. Also the bathroom, eventhough it is always being cleant I think there should be some deodorizers or something since there always is kind of non-pleasant smell. The price is good (compared to the campings in Italy).
May be it was hard to reach the camping with heavy bags, but the view from piazza Michelangelo is great!!! we are slightly cold in our tent, i think in future, we had to take sleeping bags))) And many thanks to the staff for their responsiveness)))
Pros: 20 minute walk from Ponte Vecchio, very cheap for Florence, right next to Piazzale Michelangelo (Amazing views), bus stop which takes you to train station. Power sockets at restaurant area. Cons: very understaffed, shower block not very clean, on-site shop closed down, restaurant expensive. No power sockets in rooms, most tents have rips and gaps. Lots of bushes & trees, so lots of mosquitos. We had to ask to move rooms because of spider nests in tent. Moved to clean tent in a better area
This hostel is in a great location, just a short walk to the bus stop of a 15 minute walk to the main streets of Florence. The staff were very friendly, this hostel is a great value for money!
It's very good camping specially the location and the view is amazing over Michelangelo square. they just need to find better solution for electricity. it should be supplied also for the tents.
Great location, near the place where you can see panorama of Florence, about 20 minutes on foot to the centre. For us the tent was clean enough but some demanding people could be dissatisfied. Old blankets on beds but we used our sleeping-bags so it was no problem. Parking costs as 6,5euro per day and it wasn't secured so I think it's to much to pay, Anyway, it was nice couple of hours in Florence, beautiful centre of city.

Would suggest moving the toilets cluster to the tents. The tents were really cold as well and there are no plugs in them! Otherwise it was cheap and not too far from town. Good backpacking option, just bring an extra blanket!
The PLUS tents have no sockets and some of them have broken locks, that was so uncomfortable. The bald guy at the reception was nasty. The other staff were great :) It was cheap, so if you are looking for a cheap place, that's it. But take care of you things, security is poor.

This place is dirty. A very bad staff ! When i said that water came inside the tent when it's rain, he was like "I don't care, what do you want that I do ?" That's was a very bad choice. We stayed only one night instead of two.
It's a campsite with a great view of the Florentine skyline near Piazza Michelangelo. Wifi only in the terrace area, and there are rarely free power outlets to charge your phones. But it's a campsite after all.
The worst camping area I ve ever seen. Too dirty tents and showers. And moronic Mosquitos.
It takes a while to go to the campside with the bus nr. 12 or 13 which was a bit strange to find at the station. The campside is very nice and cozy with the tents instead of many campers. The showers and bathrooms are fine but could be a bit cleaner. The location is totally amazing!! 10 min walk from Piazza Michelangelo with a fantastic view over all of Firenze and 20-25 min away from the center of the city. I would definitly reccomend it to others that want to stay in Firenze for cheap money!
However the location is great, the distance to the city is walkable in 10-20 minutes, and the view from nearby situated Piazzale Michelangelo is stunning, I wouldn't pick this place once again. I was extremely disappointed, as Plus Camping in Venice was amazing. This one is just very dirty. Facilities are old and unsanitary - using them was the most scaring part of the day, tents are really hot and covered with mould all over (plus have no electrical charges), there is no market store. Pity.
Very nice location. Really good value for money,
Brilliant! Right near the viewing point which you would never know to visit. A bus journey from the centre but only a 20 minute walk and very good value for money.
The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. The tent was not waterproof when it rained and I had belongings stolen from the common area. All in all, not to be recommended as a place to stay in Flornece.
