Great location to get away from the city but still walkable! Staff were helpful and friendly. If you dont mind camping and camping type facilities, this is the place for you! However the mosquitos were worse than expected, even with bug spray! Market closed, which was annoying! Pizza great from bar but fairly pricey.

Facilities weren't the best and during our stay the women's got particularly filthy (to be fair we may have just been staying with some very dirty people) If you're young and like the student scene then this would be a good place. Maybe one to avoid if you are travelling with family and young children.

Amazing wiev of the city from the bar and great atmosfere the place it's full with a young people's staff at the reception was friendly and professional , of course you sleep in the tend, and during the day it's a bit hot but during the night it's perfect and the price it's very cheap , the location it's just 10 min from the city center and 200 mt from michelangelo square ,

Showers looked and smelled like they hadn't being cleaned in days, well the 3 that actully worked, says there is a supermarket but it's locked up and gotta go back into Florence for a hour walk there and back or a 20 min bus trip just to go shopping, says there is a restaurant but they only sell really bad pizza and over priced drinks and the staff are rude as hell

Just realizing your paying for camping. Tents have bunk beds and are lockable, have lights but no outlets. Ours had a whole in the roof and the lock worked terribly. No airflow in tent so it was very humid and caused our clothes to smell weird. Showers and bathrooms are relatively clean. Have washing and drying machines, good bar area. 20 minute walk from train station, have to hike up huge hill. Located next to cool Flo club which parties late.

I was very disappointed with Camp Michelangelo! The bathroom facilities were very poor, with dirty showers and toilets. Also they are at the top of the camp which meant it was quite a trek from our tent. Mosquitos are crazy, my friend took an reaction due to so many bites and we had to go to the hospital in our next destination. They are not enough plug sockets so had to wait to charge phones etc. Wifi is not very strong either and only works in common area.

The place is just OK for being a Camping. The ONLY thing I didn't enjoy AT ALL was the rudeness of the "director" (the old man working around the place) never felt welcomed by him or his attitude, Thank God I only had to "deal" with him once. This person NEEDS to understand that he's working with tourist and PEOPLE so If he doesn't like what he does, he better do something else for the sake of the business. Also, please look after the cleanning of the girl's showers!

The camping is about 30 minute walk from the train station, it is on top of a hill and the view to Florence is amaaazing! The tents were clean and good. You need to be in the restaurant/bar to charge your phone or use the wifi, which I think is common if you're staying at a camping, but you need to consider that anyway.

There are no powered sites, so in order to charge your devices you have to go to the bar area. The toilets and showers are filthy, and not maintained enough (ie) no toilet paper. There is also a niteclub next door that plays music until 4.30am and it's almost impossible to sleep. The staff are not very helpful either.

Fantastic views and great bar, best of all they really helped us out in an hour of need... Staff at the site were really understanding and sorted out the priblem, can't thank them enough or recommend the campsite! Stayed on 17th June 2014

The wifi, even though I paid for it, was not great in the wifi area. It would be better to have a faster connection .

The camping site locates in a great location, near the Piazzale Michelangelo and you can have a great view of the city from there. However, wifi is only available at the cafeteria and there is no wifi inside the tent. The staff required us to check out before 11am. Generally, the stay there is acceptable.

The campsite is fine, though we expected the standards to much higher after our experience in the plus camping in Venice. The facilities advertised were not all available and the staff were incredibly unhelpful, sometimes rude. Overall the site is not quite worthy of the 'plus' title.

Unfortunately there was no locker to lock your things up. The showers are not very clean and there is a lack of outlets to plug in devices to charge. I was eaten alive by mosquitos.

Was a great way of experiencing the city. Campsite close to an amazing view and an even better one if you climb up to San Miniato. Facilities could have done with an extra clean during the day

The camp was in a massive state of disarray. I think they were changing a lot of things but the staff led us to a place where there were no tents, and halfway through our stay they changed our tent number without informing us that tent 49 is now 15. Everything else was fine they just need to communicate better.

I stayed at Camping Michelangelo one night. The overall impression was fine, although what I enjoyed the most about the Camping is it's location. It's situated near the breathtaking panoramic view over the city, and somehow half an hour walk from the city center and Ponte Vecchio. When it comes to camping itself , i could only complain about the cleanliness, the bathroom was quite dirty, especially the showers. The tent itself was ok, but in the night it was quite noisy, because of the party.v
