It was fine, nothing more. There's a great view, and a nice bar/outside terrace area, but no outlets in the tents. I had to charge my phone in the bathroom because all of the outlets on the terrace were being used. The staff was nice enough. This place is the bare minimum of an acceptable stay.
I stayed here for three nights in the middle of summer in a three bed shared tent. Essentially, you get what you pay for. The location is great though! An easy walk into the middle of town and about two minutes walk from the campsite is a great view of all of florence, especially at sunset.
When you check in you are given a map of the grounds, but it turned out to be outdated - none of the water faucets or electric outlets were working. There are also outdated signs on the premises, e.g. to an ATM or shop which aren't there. The staff are aware of this. The only place to get some water is the bathroom sinks, and the only place to get electricity is the outlets in the restaurant, where you must purchase something, or a paid locker where you can only fit in a phone for charging.
cheap. You get what you pay for really. Tents were alright. did not feel very secure. seemed as if anyone could walk into the camp ground at all hours without question. bus stop right outside of the gate is nice. Didnt help it was 100° everyday we were there. only wifi and power points were on top of hill at the bar area.
The tent we rented had a locking door, except that you could open it without the key. Other than that, our experience was great.
The location is perfect. It's just minutes away from Michalengelo Square which has a magnificent view and you can walk nearly everywhere in the city. They have no plugs in the tents and wifi doesn't reach most of them so you need to go to the bar to charge your phone and connect. But I would stay here if I came Florence again.
This site has potential to be a great camp site however their facilities and atmosphere is lacking. There is no power in the tents so everyone has to use power in the communal area to charge electronic devices making the communal area not very interactive. Some activities/games nights would benefit the site. Also, the toilet block is a long way from the camp site and there is no lighting.Location is great (close to Michelangelo Plaza) and walk to main centre.
I don't know why the reviews are so bad... My tent was clean, spacious and lockable. There's way more than enough showers and toilets which they clean often. Huge bar area is great and free wifi is good there. I'd go back for sure. Can't beat the value in Florence, especially for the location. Only real negative would be the bar/club very nearby that sometimes plays music loudly until super late. Ear plugs recommended.
A really cool place to stay, especially if you're craving a bit of the outdoors after jumping from city to city (I was). The rooms are basically permanent tents with dorm beds. You can hire a locker at 1 euro/12hours and charge your phone etc in it (they are next to the toilet blocks). Cool location - up a little hill across the river from the center of Florence, a 15 min walk from the center. AMAZING view of the sunset from the Plaza Michaelangelo, 100m away (GOOGLE IT!)
Pros: beautiful part of Florence, easy walk into the city, bar staff and their amazing pizzas (Hi Lupo!), bus stop super close, Flo bar next door, awesome view, good price. Cons: NO KITCHEN, not a real social atmosphere, no staff involvement, pretty gross bathrooms at times (I'm pretty sure I flooded the bathroom with my shower), tent was pretty far away and the stones were sore on the ol' feet, not super quiet at night which could be a problem for light sleepers. Would go back though!
Stayed here for two nights, i just realy enjoyed my stay here. A bit out of the way but you get what you pay for.
It gets very hot in the tents quite early and stays hot till late. No power points in tents, but plenty available at the bar. Would be nice if there was a pool! There's an outdoor club next-door with loud music playing until 4am, so if you stay here bring ear-plugs.
So the location is gorgeous and it's really cheap and so you probably sort of get what you pay for. But... Other plus camping places are the same price and nowhere near as dirty and unpleasant. There was music going the whole night, nowhere to charge phones apart from at the bar, and the showers - it was like being in Orange is the new black, there were about 2 showers with locks on and even they were dirty and covered in grime. The market was non existant as was the atm. Pizza was overpriced.
Really very nice, but th price I got by booking through hostel world, 11.50 per person was far more reasonable then the 16.50 marked here.

Bathrooms are dirty but not too dramatic. Location is very good considering it is a campground. Wifi is spotty and power outlets scarce but then again ... it is a campground. very good for short stay and affordable. might want to consider touching a few things up but overall fine.
I've stayed at other hostels by this company and this one was disappointing. No outlets or wifi in the tents; showers weren't very clean and a lot of stuff was broken: doors, shower heads, multiple drains and drain covers. 5 large lockers for the entire campsite/hostel and the luggage room was not very secure. I walked right in, with no one questioning me, to get my bag. The club "next door" was super loud. Louder than most hostels with clubs. If you need something cheap, I guess, but be aware.
Great camping ground, tents were awesome so comfortable and clean. lots of showers and toilets so you didn't have to wait, really nice location with frequent buses from the train station which made it easy. no kitchen which meant you had to buy food out or from the restaurant there, but would definitely stay there again.
Kind of dirty, often no toilette paper, staff pretty rude. The location was good and the pizza restaurant was nice to have. Also very cheap if you book in advance.
Wonderful location! At night it gets pretty cold and their blanket wasn't enough so maybe bring one or a sleeping bag. Very comfortable! Didn't see much of the staff but it was a short stay. I was happy with my stay. I've been to their sister camp spot in Venice which is even better, and has wifi in the tent and thicker blankets.. This one was not the same in that aspect however it was A good camping experience
Fantastic value for money. The location is good, only a 2km walk from town. There are no PowerPoints or wifi in the tents, had to walk up to the central bar area to charge things. There werent enough powerpoints (bring a powerboard!) and the wifi was very slow at night. However the covered bar/dining area is a great place to meet other travellers as everyone charges phones & eats dinner. The staff were so lovely, very helpful when I requested to change tents to be with all females. Great value!
