We stayed in the tents, beds were comfortable, kept cool during the night, however during the day they heat up a lot so try to be out or at the bar/ pool etc. Restaurant served pretty good food at a reasonable price however not a lot of variety but that is to be expected. Only problem was the supermarket closed for a long time during the day but there is a supermarket across the road that is a lot cheaper so it is easy to go there. Overall really enjoyed the stay here and would go back
Shuttle that runs the Vatican ever hour or so, bus stop directly outside the hostel. There is a cool BBQ area down the back and the wifi is pretty good! Cheap way to do Rome! THEY ARE SUPER STRICT ABOUT THE QUITE AFTER 11 RULE - we were just having a couple of drinks and playing cards (not making any noise and got moved three times (not a bad thing, but just a heads up as most places don't enforce that rule)
Good value for money, not very good in location
Grumpy staff, very loud (my tent was next to the road), very dirty and in an inconvenient location...but had a pool :)
The hostel was good but people were up all night playing music, the staff kept telling them off but they keep continuing to play it - so we hardly had any sleep. Quite loud hostel, the cleaners also blocked off the toilets from 715-8am right when the females needed to use it - massive inconvienece. Good restaurant, pool and wifi
If you are planning on staying here to visit Rome itself, then don't. However, if you are here for a transit stop or because it is the pick up point for a tour (like me) then it is ideal. It's far out of the way of the hustle and bustle of Rome, which for me was great but that would not be the case if you were intending to spend time in the city. The restaurant was great and the pool was also nice, so if you aren't planning on going into the city center, then this is ideal. Not to mention cheap!
The park was nice and clean, and our chalet was lovely. Pool is nice with lots of sunbeds. It is a shame about the staff who were very rude; in the bar/ restaurant area a few of them were awful, particularly one of the older bar tenders. I think they were used to dealing with 18 year old drunk 'Top Deck' backpacker groups, and spoke to everyone like that. Wifi wasn't great but was free in fairness. Location is a bit too far out - you could get something better more centrally for sightseeing.
Needs more staff at reception area through checking in time a besides that a great hostel
Great place to stay. Affordable, comfortable, and great that they had shuttle bus services for Vatican and the airport.
I was in a shared tent but had it all to myself, lucky me! The tent is above average compared to similar permanent tent facilities. It has a decent amount of spaciousness and power outlets. Also has great clean floors. The restaurant and mini store are great and their staff are awesome. I also danced the night away at the bar after and had a great time although some questionable music was played haha Don't be scared about the distance to the city. It's a great place to end your day/s :)
Would have enjoyed staying at this PLUS site more, however reception and phone staff were extremely rude, ruining what could've been a great stay. The restaurant staff however made up for the reception staff, were very accomodating and always had a smile on their face!
I stayed in a bungalow with two singles and a bunk. The bunk (my bed) was very difficult to get up and down off as the room is very cramped and there's no good place to put the ladder. As a result I hurt my arm getting down from the bunk in the morning. I'm only a small girl, imagine if someone bigger tried to get up there. Other than that I loved this place. Great set up!
Very nice, affordable and easy to acces. Great experience. It was not what I expected... It was a whole lot better
The camping ground was well equipped with a pool, restaurant (good prices), a supermarket, laundry facilities and an information desk. We stayed in a tent which had a bunk bed and a single bed, light and a power outlet. The tents are very, very hot in summer as they don't have any source of cooling and some are located in the sun. I suggest paying a bit more for a bungalow during the middle of summer if staying for more than a few days. The public transport is not direct to the centre of Rome.
Great hostel! We stayed in both a bungalow and a tent which were both clean and comfortable. The staff were really helpful and the shuttle to the Vatican makes it easy enough to get into Rome. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend.
I stayed in a 3 bed tent (permanent tent) for one night before the start of a busabout tour. The facilities and wifi connection were great. There's a supermarket, restaurant and pool onsite which are all good. It's too far from Rome city to be travelling in and out everyday but for one night it was a good place to relax away from the city. There's a shuttle that goes to the Vatican every day though which could be used.
Great place. However I had booked and paid for a transfer from the airport to Camping Roma and it didn't turn up so I had to pay for a taxi. They gave me a free transfer back to the airport but didn't offer to pay for the taxi.

Good facilities and staff. Maybe put a shade in front of reception so that guests don't have to line up in the scorching sun in summer. Shuttle bus should run later than 6:30pm coz the place is too far.
