Little far removed from main sights. But really it's like coming back to an oasis! The pool and a/c in my bungalow were heaven! Great value for money! Don't take the 246 bus from corneila station that they recommend on directions, it's always so crowded! Go like 2 or 3 stops further to Chipo on the same metro and take 247! Stops at the same place and no sardin can bus ride!
It was ok. Loud most nights. Lots of motorcycle noise, people partying into the night. Restaurant staff was rude. Bar staff extremely rude and unhelpful. It's out of the way from all attractions. Hard to get to.
Plus Camping Rome is very good camping village and there is a plug in the tents so you can charge your phones etc .. It has perfect pool and good restaurant (Ciao Bella) .. but don't forget you have to give 1€ tax additional for each day .. its not about camping its about Italian government .
we stayed in a bungalow and then a house tent as we were upgraded then chose to stay an extra night the bungalows are not worth the money!!! they are essentially house tents with a toilet and aircon, so not worth the extra €40!! nice place, pool and everything just a little outside the city centre, it's like a 10 minute bus ride then 5 minute metrp, easy enough but buses are unreliable other than location it's a nice campsite
The location was very far from the center. You needed to take the metro and a bus to get there. The instructions given on the website were HORRIBLE. Luckily we had some locals on the bus help us out. We had ants in our tent which was quite annoying. There was a Harley Davidson convention in the area while we stayed and all of the bikers parked their bikes right in the tent site. That was awful because motorcycles are loud and staff didn't care if they disturbed everyone in the park.
This camping was okay. I recommend it if you are travelling on a low budget, it's much cheaper than the rest of hostels in town, yet it's a hassle getting back at night if you're planning to stay passed midnight in town, and will probably have to take an expensive taxi ride. Besides that, we arrived on a friday night, the restaurant and bar were very busy and they seemed low staff, therefore overcrowded bartenders and service were impatient and rude.
A wonderful wonderful campsite with perfect tents, facilities and all else you may need.
Awesome caravan park. Great value for money in rome and worth the trip into town!!
Excellent location from the centre; however, directions on HostelWorld a little longer than the quickest route (ended up taking a metro and bus whereas there's a metro you can take that's only 10 minutes walk away). Very secure with a manned entrance all night. Security on patrol over night - some overly noisy guests were asked to move to the communal areas at around 3am when they decided to have a party. Excellent pool with ample sun loungers, clean facilities, good supermarket/restaurant!
A bit out of the way but a cool little oasis in Rome. Could do with a kitchen.
This campsite was a pleasant surprise for us. Although the bus journey there was packed it was great value for money. The atmosphere on the site was amazing and they had great extras such as a swimming pool and bar. However, the only downside was that there is no kitchen so you have to eat cold food or eat out which can start costing a lot. Also, not all the tents have plugs in but there are plugs all around the campsite.
