This is basically a hostel with hotel facilities. Two pools, excellent outdoor area, good food at the restaurant, cheap drinks at the bar (cheap for Florence at least). Rooms are incredibly nice and clean. This is not a party hostel, however. Be prepared to share the place with families, children and older adventurers. It's not a problem because they seem to do a good job of keeping the backpackers in separate rooms. Would be fun during high season, I had an 8 bed dorm all to myself.
PLUS Florence was the first hostel that I ever stayed at. It was a good hostel in the sense that it was safe, clean and well located. The front desk staff were helpful and gave us recommendations on places to see and eat. It was hard to meet other travellers though as to me it was very similar to a hotel. I had the 6 euro breakfast and it was pretty good.
Don't go here as solo traveller! This hostel is more like a huge budget hotel (i.e. expensive wannabe hostel) almost only school classes, older people or asian goups. No atmosphere at all. Or you could say the atmosphere of a hospital or prison. Overpriced services. Breakfast 6€ (but pretty good). Wifi only working part time and not available in all rooms. NO KITCHEN and NO FRIDGE. Bringing drinks and food from outside is not allowed. Rooms and beds are good. Shower is excellent.
Another chain hostel. Very big, lots of people, has its own bar and restaurant. Although food wasn't great. Clean, comfortable bed, with good facilities and in a good location. Expect lots of tours to stay there.
This hostel is really good in terms of facilities, the pool and bar are absolutely beautiful and such a nice modern contrast to the historical city of Florence. The sheer size of the hostel made it hard to meet people but we made friends in our rooms. But a really pleasant stay nonetheless :)
Great facilities but lacking a bit of soul- felt more like a hotel than hostel, mainly because of its size. There were lots of friendly people but quite a few groups of 18/19 year olds too. Breakfast seemed like good value but was utter mayhem, with lots of people when we were there so we avoided.great location though and tge sauna and steam room was lovely.
Don't stay at the PLUS chain if your a budget backpacker. Was kicked out of there restaurant area for eating my own food, even before restaurant ours started. Another individual was refused any pepper as it was only for customers. Location is alright, facilities are clean and good. Reception staff are good, restaurant staff are miserable and horrid. Just don't stay at the PLUS chain.
The place is amazing. Very nice breakfast, but very bad dinner (I got a burnt burger).
Staying at Plus was a good time. My only complaint is due to a bad bunk mate who destroyed the bathroom one night, but the staff cleaned it immediately. Florence is an awesome place!
Had a great time at this hostel though it was largely due to the people I met on the road and travelled with. Firenze is a magical city and this offers the perfect base to explore from.
This was a wonderful hostel to stay at. The staff were really nice, there's a bar, and a breakfast buffet for 6 euro which was so worth it! Great place and would def come back again
Just two massive blocks of dorms. Bit like prison imagine, but very comfy ☺ 0 atmosphere. Power shower.close to town centre. Slightly over priced, although florence is an expensive town.
PLUS Hostel was a very busy hostel with a lot of guests. The floor was usually quiet. The location was good and the staff were friendly. The facilities were also good. If you want to party hard you can definitely meet people. There are guests of all ages staying here.
Good location to sight seeings. Slept well in bedroom. Comfy beds and wall divider. However signposted as female room but men inside. Only one toilet and shower for 8 people. Bathroom not cleaned entire time we were there. Staff unhelpful and unable to recommend places to eat. Under staffed always a long queue. Restaurant seemed expensive and not good. No kitchen to cook if needed. Expensive. However okay if you literally just want a bed to sleep in. Can walk to all sites from here.
Nice terrace upstairs, Internet stations helpful
Generally well located, offers a variety of facilities but is not what one would think of when hearing the word 'hostel'. Unfortunately they don't plan nights out or anything for that matter. The hostel has around 800 beds, so the reception is kept busy with checking in big groups of incoming guests constantly. It took me three nights to find like minded people to connect and hang out with. They were complaining as well. If you just want to relax it's very good but socialising quite difficult.
Plus Florence is a large and spacious hostel with a great facilities and friendly staff. The free map they give you upon arrival is a real asset to planning your days, sightseeing and eating out. Our Room was good, however the air conditioning didn't work and it was really hot when we were there so that was a let down.
Really enjoyed this hostel. Didn't meet too many people but the environment was great. Has a pool which is a big plus! Good is good at the restaurant and rooms are really nice. It is a very big hostel so don't expect too much intimacy. Overall it was a great experience. I would recommend this place to people.
great facility, friendly staff. Easy access to the bus stop (Five min walk) The bar area outside was very chill and met plenty of people.
Amazing facilities with pools and bars. Almost too big to where it feels more like a hotel. Kind of far from the sites.
