The hostel was more like a hotel. If that isn't your thing, that's fine. Rooms have space and carded security access. Breakfast wasn't included but is very nice for €6. Clean bathrooms in the rooms. Not noisy. Had a bar and chill out area downstairs. Little walk to the main sites. But nothing major. If you're a decent walker you can walk everywhere without a struggle. I was told some people got the bus to cross the river. But it's really not necessary.

Nice place to stay, good location in Florence. Only qualms is there is no accessible kitchen, although the the food at the resturant is pretty good

The staff Is not friendly they don't number the beds you choose the bed that it's free , which means that the next day cleaners don't know which bed to do fresh I actually had to tell the cleaner ... They clean the rooms but only the parts you can see, something fell out and went behind the bed ... I went to pick it up was all dusty and with and empty bottle of water ... Since its a room shared with 7 more people the cleaning part is important!

I had hair all over the bedding in my room. It was as if they had never been washed. The room also smelled very very poor.

Felt more like a hotel than a hostel because the female dormitory is split into two rooms. Towels offered which was a nice touch, bathroom was dated but clean and very functional, absolutely no reason to complain. The hostel offers fantastic facilities including pool, bar and restaurant. Not very close to the old city but close enough to walk. Staff are very friendly and helpful - all in all would recommend staying.

the staff are very usesless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLUS Florence is essentially a cheap hotel with bunk beds. If you're looking for a hostel with atmosphere, common areas, a communal kitchen etc., this is not the place for you. It feels clinical and commercial and we met/spoke to no one (we are normally very social people at hostels). In Florence (esp. in off/shoulder season) it's simply cheaper to get a cheap hotel if you're travelling in a couple or small group. Lights went out in the middle of the night as well.

Payed for a hostel, got a hotel. Had a double bed room with an ensuite and had a fantastic stay, made use of their indoor pool (as it was winter) and the location is walkable to the train station and the centre. If you want a comfortable place to stay this is perfect, didn't want to leave.

Atmosphere is a bit more like a hotel than hostel, but the rooms were clean and included en-suite bathrooms with towels and shampoo. I highly recommend.

It's a huge hostel, not best place to meet other travelers, lots of big groups. For the price hey could include breakfast easily. On he basics it's OK (clean and well located).

The staff are lovely and have been really helpful. But! The 1st night the heater was broken and it was freezing cold, the shower head is broken (good water pressure though), the shower leaked through the corner of the wall so under one of the beds there was a big puddle, then the toilet in our room stopped flushing, the top bunk is extra squeaky, and the vibe is weird cos I think families/business stay here too. Wouldn't come back.

I have mixed feelings about this hostel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, included lockers, and were spacious for what you were paying for. Location was good, short walk to the river. However, this "hostel" was huge, over 600 rooms. It definitely felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Besides the restaurant downstairs, there wasn't a lounge, shared kitchen, or any general hangout area where solo travellers could meet people. Overall, I would stay there again with a group, but not on my own.

Cool place to stay with lots of travelers coming in and out. Enjoyed using the indoor pool and sauna. We had a double private room that overlooked the duomo, which was beautiful. Would stay here again if I returned to Florence. More like a hotel than a hostel, but still a good experience.

Great facilities in a great location...the size really kills the atmosphere and the staff were efficient if not overly friendly. Nothing major to complain about but not my favourite hostel of all time. Wifi could also be a little patchy.

The hostal is excelent, but there's a serious problem with the wifi connection to Apple devices. The staff couldn't give any solution to this. Also, is impossible to get hot wather to make a coffee or something.

Quite a big hostel, almost felt like we were staying in a hotel. Not so sure how security was monitored, as we were in the second building and noticed the security camera in the hallway was facing at the floor, not dos the hallway. The restaurant was average, you could definitely get better food elsewhere in Florence. Would stay again.

Good base, but not brilliant for meeting anyone

Fine hostel, but just kind of weird. Felt very corporate and there was not much community. Location is okay. Pool and sauna are a nice plus.

Beautiful hostel physically but absolutely 0 atmosphere. Rooms were like hotels - beautiful and super modern marble bathrooms - clean and nice. What lacks here is that there is no hang out area and 0 socialising ever. Was quite lonely and very difficult to meet people - If you like your privacy this is for you but if you are outgoing and want to meet friends it won't happen here sorry. Also a huge problem - there are no lockers in the rooms - there are wooden boxes which can be easily broken

Linen and showers are fantastic. Wifi is terrible, absolutely terrible.
