Great atmosphere. "Open" character by only a few doors. Some food in the kitchen is free. Very friendly and relaxed staff. Big, free lockers in the rooms. The only thing that I didn't like so much was the indirect ventilation.

Very nice hostel and very helpful staff. Only negative comment is that if you are staying on the 3rd floor in a "6 bed dorm" it's not really as it appears. The whole floor is a giant dorm with dividing walls that don't go up to the ceiling or entrance doors. Probably about 20-25 people on one floor

Excellent staff and common room for chatting with other travellers. Showers are a bit small but very clean! Free computer to use at the hostel. Great local advise and excellent location. Would definitely recommend to other travellers!!

As a hostel owner, I am very picky about the hostels I stay at as a guest. But this hostel has it all!! The hostel is not too small and not too big, so one can really get to know all the other guest's and the staff. The place was really clean (you could tell it was cleaned a few times a day), the facilities were perfect, I slept great and would defiantly recommend you don't stay anywhere else but here!!

I don't think they understand the concept of a hostel here. They didn't have any activities or walking tours. The common area was basically two couches. people there were not social at all and someone stole my pad's charger from my bed. it was not a fun place to be but it's cheap for the area.

I had a great time at this hostel. It was my final destination for my six months around the world trip. The staff is friendly and gives you a warm welcome. Thank you for that Kelly. But also Marijn, Henry, Ryan and Aiden you all did a great job. You all give visitors a home feeling. One of the important things in a hostel. Only one thing what i missed about the building was a window to give us some fresh air. I know that is impossible to build but sometimes it was so hot inside..

my stay was awesome, it was fun meeting new people and sharing their experience of the journey they were on, something that a traditional hotel doesn't afford.

When the concept hostel was invented, they were thinking of this place. It is amazing how much people you get to know here! The character is really good,it is amazingly situated, and the staff is ALWAYS helpfull.I have to say that you must love hostels to stay here,as in being a girl and opening the shower door to a row of three guys brushing their teeth, wich I don´t mind because the staff takes care of everything being respectfull and positive.

Nice hostel and clean. It was a little difficult to find initially but otherwise good. Liked the hostel under the bed lockers, well thought out. The area is near China town area, which has its good bad points, and very close to the financial area of the city. Small hostel otherwise, the rooms don't have to the ceiling walls. So noise can travel around, if you are light sleeper this could be an issue.

Hostel is located cca 10mins walk from metro, near Chinatown. Reception is at 3rd floor. Staff were kind and informative. There is a small free breakfast available. About security - both house and floor doors are locked but the room itself has no door! There is big storage lock-able space beneath the bed. Showers are nice but there is just one toilet per floor of twenty people. WiFi is free, as well as using 2 computers and printing tickets. Only a bit issue is leaving before 8 AM.

This hostel was great, I really enjoyed staying there. The atmosphere is amazing, everyone is so kind. You get to know a lot of people because the hostel is very small. I liked it very much, thanks Pacific Tradewinds!

Very nice hostel, well located and with a very helpful staff. The only room for improvement would be the bathrooms : only 2 bathrooms is short when 16 people are staying in the hotel. Showers are not the best we can find but our stay was awesome anyways ! Highly recommended !

Ryan was an awesome friendly receptionist! The hostel was in an excellent location, just 5 blocks away from BART, and a close walk to Embarcadero. Everything was clean, the showers had hot water, and free wifi! Hanging out in the common room was a lot of fun, and it was very easy to meet people. I enjoyed my stay very much and look forward to visiting again!
