The main hostel looks very nice, we were based in the town house though, paying the same as our friends but not getting the use of the same facilities. Stay in the main hostel where possible.

Arrived at midnight after a delay with the ferry to be welcomed by a very pleasent young man called paul.after my profuse apoliges for being late i was shown to my room which was a very nice airy clean room. next morning after a breakfast of coffee toast and cereal under the canopy in the back garden i returned my key to receive my deposit and departed a very happy camper.next time i visit Londonderry i will stay at Paddys palace.many thanks.

I have never stayed in a Hostel before but if they are all like this I will book more. A beautiful townhouse with a log fire, spotless, great staff, two mins from town, clean hot shower and I had free parking outside. I can't belive you can stay somewere nowadays for so little money. How they can run such a beautiful place and charge so little is beyond me. Many thanks for a great night. I'ill be back.

Fantastic night in Paddy's Palace. Arrived soaking wet after my car had a flat tyre and was immediately given a towel and a cup of tea! Nice start. I've stayed in many hostels and this is definitely a cut above. Much more like a very nice B&B than some. The whole place was spotless and the staff gave us some great tips on where to go in Derry. The Wifi worked fine and we got also got breakfast included. All in all a great stay. Pity it wouldn't stop raining while we were there!

The staff was absolutely fantastic, very nice and welcoming. Knowledgeable about the town. Personal care and attention was always available, and they were accommodating to my needs as a traveler. Definitely would recommend.

The staff is simple great: funny people always ready to help. There is a large common room (with a lovely fireplace) where guests usually spend some time together. The double room is, actually, a four bed room. The hostel is placed 5 min (by feet) away from city centre.

Not very lucky with the mates that we share the hostel that night, they had a party and did not bother about our feelings whatsoever

This was one of the best atmosphere I ever had in a hostel. The staff was friednly and open-minded. And Stephen is a great host. I am definitely going back one day!

Second house should have wi-fi: the main living room shuts at 11, and at that point we're without internet, which isn't much good when you need to speak to someone in another time zone. Other than that we didn't really like having no electricity on the first night, and no heating on either night. Didn't really think the staff were bothered about the lack of either. We weren't really happy no one sorted the electricity when we informed them, non-management staff fixed it the following afternoon.

Place was perfect, comfortable stay and staff very helpful. Walking distance to the murals. Better than expected. Will stay there again if we return to Derry.

This youth hostel is great but unfortunately the common room closes at 11pm... Another negative point was the breakfast, there wasn't coffee or another drink, the jam was empty... Ok we were the last ones but we were so hungry :( BUT the owner is really nice, the ambiance in the common room was nice and the kitchen was clean

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was really helpful and breakfast was included which is always nice. We were lucky and got our own room which was great and the beds were actually quite comfortable. The only thing that wasn't great was the fact that there were no lockers in the room. Also, the toilet on our floor was broken and not that clean. The shower was good though.
