Breakfast was advertised as included, but denied in reality. "Shared rooms" proved an embarrassment for the young 2x Swiss / German girls as much as for the French guy who also shared the 5xbedded room. Not a clever idea! Kitchen was too small and very cramped

Staff are nice. Really quiet and relaxed vibe.

The whole place is quite dirty. In the living room there were clothes everywhere and papers on the floor. The shower was dirty too. Anyway,The bed was comfortablecomfortable.

Nice night at Paddy's Palace. The staff was really helpful and friendly. One bathroom was out of service, had to use another one which didn't have even a hanger for towel, had to put everything on the dirty floor... The kitchen was a mess, and the floor really dirty ( people coming in from the wet backyard through the kitchen...). Great location

It's a small hostel, but the staff are so friendly that you have the Impression to be in a family. Everything is small, but the guests are not more than 20-23 so that you can enjoy your stay at the hostel.

There's free breakfast at Paddy's (toast and cereal). But in general, it was like staying at a friend's house when his parents are gone for the weekend. It was enjoyable and the staff (other travelers) were very friendly (they'd hang out with us in their off time) but things didn't always run as well as they could.

Had a great time staying at this hostel with a couple of friends. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, friendly & affordable place to stay in Derry.

The hostel is clean and tidy, the common room is cozy and comfortable. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff, we really enjoyed our stay!

The description did say they had dinner on every night, that wasn't true. It's a bit out of town as well

Basic accommodation, not a tidy place, a little outside of the city center. Breakfast included in price, which is nice.

Staying at your hostel was a very good, cosy and social experience. I would definitely recommend it to others. The only minus point was that the place was not well maintained (leaking tubes etc.) and sometimes not very clean. (f.e. kitchen).

unpretentious hostel with some seriously good people.

I'm usually very wary of hostels but this one was brilliant. We were late for check but were processed very quickly and pleasantly and the staff were great. Room was perfect and location was great for where we wanted to hang out!

staff were more interested in watching YouTube than working in a hostel. no offers of maps things to see and do. one shower was out of service which left one shower. place needs a good overhaul, not a lick of paint but proper work

The Staff was always a bit out of plan. Confousing ;)

The inn is close to police station so that security is absolutely! And all staff are very nice, bed is clean. There is only shame is that the room is gender mixed. But it's a really good choice for people who travle alone!

Bad experience because one guy in the room snored the whole night. Breakfast OK but I didn't feel like talking to other guests - what I usually do. Had an issue with the power shower: I couldn't get hot water to wash my hair.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thanks for staying with us and sorry you couldn't work out how to use the shower. The guest snoring in your room is obviously not our responsibility, it isn't very constructive to mention it in this forum as that is a medical/physical condition of another human being. Also the fact you did not feel like talking to other guests really isn't anything to do with our hostel, its price, its location or its good and clean facilities and welcoming staff. Happy travels. Stephen
