It was a nice place to stay and you sort of got what you paid for. Although it could have been a little better. The rooms bathroom looked kinda bad and the breakfast in the morning was so little. but other than that it was nice =)

The location was very good and the breakfast was okay. The staff made the place clean, but they seemed like they didn't want us to be there. The wifi was limited to a couple of rooms and it didn't always work. One of our rooms was really cold because the window didn't close. In our other room there was no pressure in the shower and you could only choose between icecold and really hot temperature. The door to the bathroom didn't close all the way so you could look straight into it from the bed.

The team was not friendly, the room very old, wet, very small. The bathroom not clean, toilet didn´t work. We were located on the down level, could hear the bell riging all night long, as long as people came back to the hotel. There was no place in the bathroom to put a towel or some clean clothes when you take a shower. The whole room was completely wet, didn´t have the feeling to be in a cleen room at all. I will definitely not come back.

It's a little inconvenient if we want to went back lately. Atmosphere is very important in hostel, specifically depending on staff's attitudes, I was a little upset in these days

Staying in the 12-bed dorm is definitely value for money. On the other hand, don't expect an actual palace. Facilities are rather basic, kitchen on the small side. Room was spatious and bathroom clean, hot water in the shower, always appreciated. No lockers in room, internet connection not so good, quite a lot of noise until the small hours.

I didn't get a chance to stay at this hostel, but after exchanging several e-mails with the staff, i can already tell that the place is quite nice as it is.

Decent place for the price, clean enough and staff is friendly enough. Great outdoors, don't stay in the hostel!

We were given a double room, quite nice although a bit old. The mattress was correct (in particular, hard enough for bad backs), although I wouldn't qualify it as excellent (we could feel the springs). Some members of the staff were really helpful and fun to talk to (we are thinking especially of Erika).

Staff were really unfriendly, unhelpful & rude. Room was basic as expected. Great location. Being polite is easy, no excuse for being rude when your dealing with customers.

Shower not work as too hot and no heat settings in room 9 and wifi rubbish, weak and regularly cuts out for periods of time, no laundry facility and parking a good walk away.

The girl we dealt with was extremely rude & nasty. We were doing the ROK cycle the next day & they had only one slot for breakfast from 5-5:30am which was much too early & no flexibility given. It would have been very easy to have an open breakfast room for the morning. Totally off putting. She even tried to lock us out in the morning only for we pushed her on it. She was going to be there but told us we couldn't get back in! Neptunes hostle which is 1 minutes away is a far better option.

With regards to your review about the ROK, we do apologize if you were caused any inconvenience, but also have to mention that breakfast was held for the cyclists from 4:50 am till 6:40 am. Official breakfast time is from 8 am till 10 am. Concerning the front door being closed, it is for security reasons, and in regards to this case front door and the code door were opened at the time that all the cyclists were leaving the hostel. Staff was present at the hostel at all times.

Great location and the accommodation does the job. The staff, even though they're nice, seem to be really fed up of running a hostel. They have so many rules too - you can't be in the hostel between 2 and 4 everyday because they want "alone time" and if you're trying to chat with everyone in a communal area you've got nowhere to go after like 9 or 10 o'clock cuz they kick you out of everywhere. Met some great people there though.

I was in a room at the top of the house but I did feel vulnerable if there was a fire. There did not seem to be clear instructions on what to do if there was a fire and I could not see any directions to a fire escape stairs outside. Otherwise I found it to be good value and friendly. Pros: Good breakfast and common room. Nice location in town and close to national park. Good water pressure in Dorm 2 bathroom. Relatively clean. Cons: Dorm 2 smelled bad due to the mold in toilet. The toilet floor gets very wet after any single shower. Wifi was very spotty. Staff were just polite at the most and didn't offer information about the local area.

Great value for the money but the wifi is really spotty and the staff are nice but not passionate about Ireland. Also the atmosphere is not set up for travelers to hang out due to a lack of space.

The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was worth getting up in the morning like bread and peanut butter and cereal! It was super good value for the money. I think they should probably get rid of the mold in the bathrooms tlhough, I don't care when I'm only there for a night but it was so bad to the point where if the bathroom was open we could smell it. Just doesn't seem to be super safe. Besides that it was a very fun environment and hiked with some girls all day fron my room!
