I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Beautiful rooms, super comfy beds, immaculate (and huge!) bathrooms, great inexpensive bar, generous breakfast, sweet dog--but above all: the two kindest, most helpful, knowledgeable, fun hosts you could imagine. Steve and Debbie are clearly people people!

This place is great! Really clean rooms with comfortable beds. Staff where really helpful and welcoming I particularly like spending time in the on site bar socialising with the other guests and staff. I cannot wait to go back later in the year.

Staying at the PAINTSHOP was great!! The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hostel was clean, comfortable and relaxing.The staff suggested lots of activities, surfing, kayaking, horseriding etc... The hostel is in a great location, central to the casino, bars, restaurants, beach and train station. The private bar is a great place to relax and meet like-minded travellers. Pizza night & BBQ night was great fun! Good food, guys!! Star dog made it feel like home. I will recommend & be back!

Amazing stay at the Paintshop! Ended up staying for 3 extra nights as staff were so friendly and lots to do in area. Really good location for bars, marina and beach and such a welcoming vibe at hostel! Loads to do, Steve and Debs will sort you out with spots to visit or surf lessons or surf hire. Had a wicked stay, enjoyed BBQ nights and pizza nights at hostel in particular and didn't want to leave :(!!! Best hostel I visited in Europe for atmosphere and friendly staff! See you again soon!!!

my stay at the paintshop hostel was very enjoyable, it has a homely atmosphere and the hosts Steve and Debbie make you very welcome.. it is spacious and clean and has a very friendly hostel dog who always wants to play. the bar prices were low and the barbeque and pizza nights were great fun and the food was tasty.. overall i can thoroughly recomend it and will visit again in the future

Steve and Debbie were ace! dead helpful and friendly, always felt like you could approach them, and always willing to chat. Antonio was really good, as we organised the surf through them once we arrived, he was always smiling, spoke good English and even though I was rubbish, that was nothing to do with his teaching. Lovely place, with the nicest owners/couple we have met on our travels. Thanks for all the stories, and the free port!!
