Dirty rooms and poor service. The drivers they’d arranged to pick us up made detours, and eventually drove us to the wrong place (!). We had to order and pay for a new taxi to take us to Pakacha Bungalows. When we arrived in the afternoon, our room “wasn’t ready”. They got up to clean it when we came. The WiFi wasn’t working and we were told that it might, maybe, work later. The garden/beach area was very littered. Sheets and towels in our room stained. Bathroom overflowing from broken toilet!
Had a wonderful time here! Loved being right on the beach in our little beach bungalow!! Took advantage of the hammocks, too! Staff were friendly and always there to help. Massage was excellent as well!!
- the beach is dirty, near to the facility and in the garden are piles of rubbish - the food has to be ordered 1h ahead. We ordered only salad with sandwich and got it after 1h 45min!

We enjoyed true "Zanzibari hospitality" for a week here. The place is locally owned and run by a kind family from Bwejuu. They helped us find activities and gave us plenty of information, even helping us find ways to save money. After having spent quite a bit of time in Africa, we especially appreciated their honesty and the fact that we never felt as though they were trying to unfairly get money from us. Responsible tourism at it's best!
