The Hostel had a wonderful location although it took time to reach it. The rooms were nice, clean and with their own bathroom/shower. The minus points would be that this really is not a place for youth: there is no gathering area. Also wifi did not work in the rooms so the lobby was always occupied with focused on their iPhones. Breakfast was alright, mainly fruit and bread: the containers were empty often. But it is value for your money.

This is not a hostel but a hotel, there is no vibe like in other hostels, but yeah if you only stay there for one Night no problem 😉
The atmosphere was dead. The hostel was miles away from the town centre and there were no buses back later in the night so we were unable to go out. Ended up cancelling our second night because the place was so boring, not even a proper kitchen!
worth the distance for the amazing views
Amazing hostel overlooking the city from a hilltop.
I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a little outside of the city, but well with the trip for the view the hostel provides. Big lockers, pretty clean showers, although there isn't a common area or kitchen.
It's on top of a hill overlooking and is beautiful! You do have to take a bus to get to the metro, but for the quiet and the view, we didn't mind. They have people who come through and clean every day and their breakfast is delicious. Their kitchen, however, is basically not a kitchen. It has a bathroom sink, a microwave, and some dishes. They didn't even have soap to wash the dishes! They sell already made food, so don't count on making your own delicious meal if you want to stay in a night.
Great hostel to stay at! I bit outside of the city but not a big deal at all (45 mins on bus and train from center) but perfect - with a beautiful view of Vienna, in a nice area, well priced and great staff. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Vienna.
Beautiful and relaxing place. Far from the city, end of the metro, to the end of a bus line, but beautiful spot. Spent most of my time doing yoga in the park area behind the hostel and looking out over the city.
A very quiet hostel outside of town. Good place to chill and enjoy the views but not so good to get around or to meet people.
When they say 'family friendly', they mean it. There were kids running around everywhere all the time. Not a good or a bad thing just be forewarned. Also its a bit far from anything so plan your time accordingly. No kitchen to cook in, and reataurants are quite far. Young people looking to stay in Vienna and meet other young people to have a good time should stay elsewhere. Everyone else, I would recommend this hostel.
I really cannot recommend it to whom really plans to well explore Wien. Too far it is from the attractions. You'll have to spend at least 1 hour reaching the hostel from any station, it simply doesn't deserve wasting the time to save several euro like this. Breakfast is supposed to stop serving by 10:00 a.m. but 9:50 they stopped me from adding milk into cereals when I was still eating. Totally waste of time and money here. No auto-coffee machine, you can't even by water after 22:00
Location was beautiful, but far from the city center. The bathroom was very small. Wifi worked in the lobby area only. I felt very safe in this hostel as a young woman traveling alone.
The breakfast was great, it was very clean also. It is a bit further out of the city, but very very easy to navigate with public transport, and it means great views of the whole city!
Aside from nice rooms with ensuite, this place has absolutely no atmosphere. The 'kitchen' is a microwave and mini fridge. The lounge room is so hidden it has no windows and feels like a dungeon. Does have couches and some games though. The staff were helpful when asked questions. Far from the city but it is on a pretty forest.
In the end, we had to spend more nights than we planned. I'm honestly lost for words. This out of the way hostel blew me away when I first rocked up. On a hill overlooking all of Vienna, this is the perfect place to go to experience true immersion into Austrian culture. From walks in the forest to local beer gardens it's just wonderful. Not what you want if you're looking for night life, but after all, the point of traveling is to experience life in that country, not to get pissed.
great breakfast out in the sticks but easy to find
Don't bother. Hostel has absolutely no atmosphere and is definitely not backpacker friendly whatsoever. WiFi range is tragic. Kitchen non existent. No restaurants/cafes/supermarkets for miles. Please don't underestimate just how inconvenient this hostel's location is. Staff seem to know little to nothing about things to do in the city and weren't welcoming or helpful. Beds are comfortable though, so there's that.
(2 persons, Mai 2015) Pro: + Great view on Vienna! + Nice area around the Hostel + good public transport --> fast way into the city, good frequency of the bus Contra: - Furniture is very old (some parts are even out of function/broken) - breakfast buffet was always empty (lack of bred, cheese and so on...) - A private room for 2 persons is actually a 4 bed room (--> no "romantic" twin bed) - the whole building could be renovated --> too expensive compared to the money we paid!!

This hostel needs to badly invest in a WiFi range extender. The Internet would only work near the lobby area and didn't work at all in my room. Also the door to my room was not very secure. If you left the room, the door wouldn't shut completely unless you unlocked the door lock with your key again.
