When they say 'family friendly', they mean it. There were kids running around everywhere all the time. Not a good or a bad thing just be forewarned. Also its a bit far from anything so plan your time accordingly. No kitchen to cook in, and reataurants are quite far. Young people looking to stay in Vienna and meet other young people to have a good time should stay elsewhere. Everyone else, I would recommend this hostel.

I really cannot recommend it to whom really plans to well explore Wien. Too far it is from the attractions. You'll have to spend at least 1 hour reaching the hostel from any station, it simply doesn't deserve wasting the time to save several euro like this. Breakfast is supposed to stop serving by 10:00 a.m. but 9:50 they stopped me from adding milk into cereals when I was still eating. Totally waste of time and money here. No auto-coffee machine, you can't even by water after 22:00

Location was beautiful, but far from the city center. The bathroom was very small. Wifi worked in the lobby area only. I felt very safe in this hostel as a young woman traveling alone.

The breakfast was great, it was very clean also. It is a bit further out of the city, but very very easy to navigate with public transport, and it means great views of the whole city!

Aside from nice rooms with ensuite, this place has absolutely no atmosphere. The 'kitchen' is a microwave and mini fridge. The lounge room is so hidden it has no windows and feels like a dungeon. Does have couches and some games though. The staff were helpful when asked questions. Far from the city but it is on a pretty forest.

In the end, we had to spend more nights than we planned. I'm honestly lost for words. This out of the way hostel blew me away when I first rocked up. On a hill overlooking all of Vienna, this is the perfect place to go to experience true immersion into Austrian culture. From walks in the forest to local beer gardens it's just wonderful. Not what you want if you're looking for night life, but after all, the point of traveling is to experience life in that country, not to get pissed.

great breakfast out in the sticks but easy to find

Don't bother. Hostel has absolutely no atmosphere and is definitely not backpacker friendly whatsoever. WiFi range is tragic. Kitchen non existent. No restaurants/cafes/supermarkets for miles. Please don't underestimate just how inconvenient this hostel's location is. Staff seem to know little to nothing about things to do in the city and weren't welcoming or helpful. Beds are comfortable though, so there's that.

(2 persons, Mai 2015) Pro: + Great view on Vienna! + Nice area around the Hostel + good public transport --> fast way into the city, good frequency of the bus Contra: - Furniture is very old (some parts are even out of function/broken) - breakfast buffet was always empty (lack of bred, cheese and so on...) - A private room for 2 persons is actually a 4 bed room (--> no "romantic" twin bed) - the whole building could be renovated --> too expensive compared to the money we paid!!

This hostel needs to badly invest in a WiFi range extender. The Internet would only work near the lobby area and didn't work at all in my room. Also the door to my room was not very secure. If you left the room, the door wouldn't shut completely unless you unlocked the door lock with your key again.

The hostel located on the outskirts of Vienna up on top of a hill. This gives a nice view but is horribly inconvient to getting anywhere in the city. There are no common areas to meet other people. Mainly a hostel for older people on vacataion rather than travelers. The staff was helpful but that's the only thing I enjoyed about my stay. I wouldn't stay here again.

This was the perfect hostel for me in Vienna. I had spent the previous two nights in a loud hostel in Krakow and had hardly any sleep. wanted somewhere out of the way and this was perfect. peaceful quiet location, had the best sleep here. great views of the city from my room. ensuite bathroom, locker and lockable wardrobes. WiFi was not amazing and could only get signal near the reception area. not a typical central party hostel but had a very pleasant stay here. would recommend

awesome breakfast like a hotel with bargain bed cost!!

Good hostel if you're looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Good sized rooms and friendly staff. A lot of parks / green spaces around the hostel for walking and biking.

the internet is not everywhere. Also the wi-fi is not stable all the time. May be it will be good if the wi-fi is available around the hostel, from the rooms also.

Cool place, you can see the whole city from your room window if you are lucky and got a room from the city side. For the car parking, its a little bit complicated because you can parking just a dark side of the area.
