Our stay at "Palazzo" buonaccorsi in San Gimignano was deeply disappointing. Indeed, as soon as we arrived, the waitress came at us and started complaining about the way we ringed ( but aren't we supposed to ring when we do not know the place which was actually closed ? This is not how a hotel should welcome a guest who paid. Then she told us that our room was not available, so I guess she allowed other people to stay one night more and we had to go in another hotel for one of the 2 nights.

Our triple-room, on the top floor, was very hot - and there was no fan or little air circulation. En suite bathroom was very small, and combined with a toilet - so the whole floor flooded after a shower. Bathroom did not have any hair drier, and did not provide soap/shampoo. Room (and hostel) did not have any facilities for guests to make a cup of tea or coffee, or make breakfast. Hence, all guests need to eat out - all the time. Hosts very helpful in providing information to tourist sites

Lovely place. Ths family business really treats you like a valued guest.

Amazing people. We missed our bus and they arranged to pick us up from a nearby city. Also, very helpful with helping us plan our day. They introduced us to an amazing vineyard nearby that offers wine-tasting and guided tour. We spent 5 days in Tuscany and the time we spent here was probably the best.

Good to be in centre of town but bad because of difficulty in parking. If you have a lot of luggage you have to bring the car into a very busy area or walk with luggage from the nearest car park. The hotel name not indicated outside but quiet inside anyway. Poor internet and phone Comms.. You would not know it is a hotel but once inside it is quiet. Rooms are adequate but bus not very comfortable. Bathroom needs some thought so that shower does not soak the floor !! Could be great but.......ok
