The hostel is quite a walk from the centre of town. The staff are very helpful but the bathrooms could definately do with cleaning more reguarly. Our private room was very nice but due to a lack of mosquito nets it was full of mosquitos (the plug in repellant that had been left had run out) so this was a major drawback. Finally the noise curfew for the hostel was 1am which would have been fine in the bar but wasn\'t great when people were shouting in the area outside our room at this time. I would like someone from your organisation to contact me. I was charged $45 USD for the room (resv #21875-15322817) not $36 as the gal at the front desk told me that the hostel exdhanges Ururguayan pesos at 25p to the dollar not 20, which was the current exchange rate. The staff is good and they have nice facilities, but the toilets were dirty and there wasn't any heating system in the room (it was cold as North Pole). THe staff here are wonderful...so helpful! This hostel is in a central location, between the main beach(Pocitos) and the city center. Not close to either but within walkable distance, it\'s also walkable to the bus station, but not with too much luggage. It\'s very close the to the American embassy & a beach nearby. The room was warm for me but it can be colder when someone goes out for a smoke in the middle of the night and they don\'t want to get locked out. There\'s a very underground bar with a pool table. It was freezing inside because of lack of heaters and there were not any really good common areas to meet people, plus it was pretty dead when I went. The staff was okay, but overall the experience (like Montevideo) was average at best. I really enjoyed the little time I spent there. A cool place in a great neighborhood. I just didn´t like the shower, though... But I would suggest this place for sure! Had a great time.
