We booked one of eight private rooms available at this hostel. When we arrived the staff were very confused as if they had no reccolation of our booking. They said they had no private rooms available at all due to a construction site. We asked why there were eight listed on the website and they just said they didn't know. They offered us a dorm room which we did not want as we had specifically booked a private room for personal reasons. They were very unhelpful. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Sorry The story as it happened This must apologize as well. It may be a misunderstanding between communications. Private rooms and eight beds we have maintenance. To make it convenient for customers If a story like this, we will. You can stay better. Maybe a six-bed rooms or four-bed. Sorry highly The communication between us and you, and employees may have errors....

great location for the full moon party. however, the hostel is split into two. if you are in the second lot of dorms away from reception then this is VERY hard to find. no taxi drivers could find it which can be dangerous at night as they dump you at the other lot which is at the wrong end!! also power cuts at this hostel and wasn't the cleanest of places. bunk beds were very unsteady and squeaky! air con wasn't the best either.

The reception staff could barely speak English. She refused to help me upon my arrival claiming my friends were already gone. The room were very low standard compare to the price, but I guess is typical for full moon party period. If you have no more choices this places will do. But off season ( not full moon party) there are tons of better choices.

It´s a normal hostel but is really dirty and the bathroom's smell s completly disgusting. The location is amazing, is just 5 minutes walking to full moon party beach.

Loved this place! Great to meet people if you're sharing a dorm, great social area (outside hammocks and chairs beside the bar). 5 minute walk to main area of haad rin and the beaches (and FMP). But so quiet at night that you can actually sleep!

Really enjoyed my stay, the staff couldn't help but offer you their help. We stayed as a couple but they gave us a room to ourself over the full moon even though we booked a dorm. Would highly recommend and would return !!!

We had a fabulous time at Palio hostel! It was in such a great area so close to Haad Rin beach where the full moon party is held. As well as near a great deal of shops and restaurants. The hostel offered travel and tour information as well as money off the Muay Thai events which were held in the stadium next door. However the best part about our stay was the staff, Wan and her staff were fantastic in every aspect which made our experience so much better!! Highly recommend!

Hostel belongs to a Muai Thai Club, and as guest of the hostel we could attend to a fight night for free. they also provide free bodypaint and one free bucket at the full moon night. 6 Bed dorm is very basic and in a used condition. You can use the gym for free :)

Was actually pleasantly surprised. We had an issue with our booking so they put us in the Palio 2 which is closer to Haad Rin where the Full Moon Party was at. Rooms weren't the best, but not horrible either. The free food at the buffet for the party was what made this stay great, and it taste good. Staff very friendly. Some of the guys at Palio 1 said it was to quiet...so i guess its good if you are looking for a chill place. The one we were at had cool people.

I had no idea this hostel was in a boxing arena I just wanted to be close to the party. It was different and interesting. The room itself was good and the bathroom was impressive for a hostel. The way the place is set up I found it hard to meet other travellers that were not staying in my room, you feel slightly separated. They had a nice pre party before the full moon and the lady working at the front desk is nice, but her english is lacking which makes communication a bit difficult.
