-The staff is friendly, helpful and understanding. I had problems with payment due to an expired credit card (my fault), but the staff told me that I could pay another day. So I got my money the next day and payed. No problems. -You do also have a market right outside where you can get whatever you would like to a reasonable price. -The Old Town is just a short walk from the hostel. Just remember to tell them you booked through hostelworld.com and that you've payed a deposit.

you get what you pay for. Cheap hostel means no lockers, no locks even in dorm rooms, broken showers, dorms with no windows... location is very good though, and staff is ok even despite they wanted to charge me more than i had booked for.

I feel that my stay was very educational from the standpoint of meeting some very sincere Muslim people. I enjoyed getting to know them and begin to understand them better. I think because of my jet lag I was not as receptive to their hospitality as I should of been. I apologize for that. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality guys. Everything was a totally new experience for me and if I managed to mess things up in the process, please know that I am grateful for the experience.

Near Damascus Gate, on the light rail (tram) line, a short walk from Mea Shearim. Palestinian eateries, grocers on the doorstep. Friendly staff. Decent buffet breakfast (if it's included in your deal). All this makes up amply for the "tired" appointments.

Had a great time in this hostel. Very friendly staff and helpfull. Rooms were clean and sheets changed. I saw that they leave the mattresses and sheets outside for sun and open the windows of the rooms for fresh air. Bathroom was most of the time clean. Excellent location! Would stay there again. Many common areas, wi fi, breakfast and free tea/coffee all day. :)

The location is exeptional! Right upstaris of the Arab bus station and shared taxi(service) station. Downstairs are many vegetable and basic groacery stores open from dawn till dusk. The Dorms are spaceous and feel safe. Atmosphere is layd back, however not too teeny or hippy. Basic people. I highly recommend. Especially if your planning to explore the mesmerizing West Bank! "Al Khalili!" (Hebron 25NIS) and "Ramallah!" is heard called out loud at the shared taxi station frequently.

Generally the Palm Hostel is not very clean place and the room are very basic with a bad smell. However the location is very good so as I consider is the only adventage.

Friendly staff and a great location right near the Damascus Gate. The place is quite unclean though, the shared kitchen hadn't been cleaned for some time and smelt like rotting food. There was rubbish under the beds and the sheets weren't changed between guests. There are other places to stay for the same or a little bit more money.

Palm Hostel is situated in the Arabian quarter in a colourful, lively and authentic atmosphere The boss and the whole staff in the hostel are very friendly and helpful, there is 24 hours tea and coffee available in the living room as well as a free WiFi without any extra costs. which is really helpful. Our room with private bathroom was clean and ok,.Conclusion: For the really low price, I can fully recommend staying at Palm Hostel!

The conditions in the hostel part are very bad and not like on the pictures. In the hotel part it is somewhat better, but still it is far from what you expect for the money. The rooms even in the hotel part are unclean, untidy with worn-out pillows and blankets supplied, and the design is very poor. Also there was a lot of noise from the street from early morning till late night as the hostel is located in the middle of food market. We do not recommend anyone to have such experience.

dirty hostel with short beds (aprox. 1,8 m), staff friendly as long as you do not complain, sheets and blankets not very clean... the only good point is the location in the arab quarter, doors are always open, feels secure...

Spend a few extra bills somewhere else, and I promise it will be worth every cent rather than staying there.

We stayed at Palm Hostel because all other hostels have been bocked out. We slept in a dorm. It was dirty and facilities specially the sheets have been really old (we used our sleeping bags). Also the bathrooms, if you like to call them like that, have been really dirty. So better stay somewhere else!

The explanation of room by by staff was not clear, it was a take to leave it. But they were good in making sure that they booked the sherot to airport for me, which was great. They do not even issue receipts for amounts paid.
