Soap in the bathrooms for hands washing would be a great improvement, for starters. Unfortunately there is a bedbug infestation.... I am severely allergic, I unfortunately came to find out.

The bed sheet and blanket had a bad smell seems they had been used before. The white towel was in grey color.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The cleaniness of the rooms is poor or none. The heating is fine but you have to keep swiched in the night because in beds there is not much warming clothes. The location is fantastic.

This is only a hostel that a price included breakfast in accommodation we stayed in Israel. Really close to the Damascus gate at the Old City, and bus stations having access to Palestina as Bethlehem and Ramallah.

I understand the shower facilities are to be expected, but it would help to have hooks to keep towels and clothing from getting wet. Although much of the kitchen mess is the fault of the guests, the staff should help by cleaning. Blankets were not always washed between guests, and I saw sheets reused the same way.

We spent 1 night in this Hostel.Arrived around 2am, we were exhausted. At first, we were friendly welcomed. Then, the man who was there told us that he'll give us an ensuite room with a balcony instead of the room with shared bathroom that we booked. For the same price! The room, the sheets, the balcony and the bathroom were dirty. And around 5am, the noise from the street prevented us to sleep anymore. When the staff asked us if we slept well, we said no and we get insulted as impolite people...

The location is very convinient, right outside one of the gates (Damascus gate) of the old town. There is heat/air cond. included in the price. There is a balcony by the common-room, where you can sit and enjoy the view to the old town while eating breakfast or lunch. There is free coffe/te 24/7 in the common-room.

Excellent location, helpful staff. Given that Jerusalem is not cheap, quite good value for your money. The breakfast is fine, as well.

The Palm hostel is in an excellent location, near the Arab quarter of the old city. The staff was accommodating and more than willing to give suggestions for what to do in Jerusalem. I would recommend staying here especially if you plan to visit the old city in the morning.

Don´take an offer of Mahmud for a daily trip. he will drive you into the desert and tell you you have to pay everything by yourself. the big dorm is quite dirty and the stacked beds are loose. so you´ll fell every movement of you "friend" beneath you.

They charged us more than what we booked online, and it was WAY overpriced for what we got. We paid significantly less for a quality HOTEL in Tel-Aviv. There was no heat in the room, we barely slept at all. The corridor actually smells like s**t. Our door barely locked. The sink was broken. The towel they gave us had nasty stains all over. The staff was very friendly, but probably only because they didn't want us to complain. All of this would have been fine, if they charged us 10 NIS a night.

The hostel was exactly as poor as the reviews claimed. Indeed it is cheap, but I will never stay there again. The manager is rude and truly unpleasant. He charged us 500 shekels upon arrival for the family room we'd booked - although according to our HostelWorld, we should only pay 112USD (roughly equiv. to 412 shekels according to Google). But even worse, the room was incredibly disgusting. Moist and damp with mould on the walls. We booked an "ensuite" room, but it had no toilet or bathroom!

This is the worst place I ever stayed in. The staff was rude and dishonest. They actually try to cheat you out of money by giving you the wrong change. I myself had this problem and heard people arguing over money with the staff the whole time I was there. There is no security for you valubles, and the place is extremely unclean and disgusting. They put me in a 12 person bunk room when I booked a 6 person bunk. This is the only hostel I ever have had a serious problem with. Terrible place.

I stayed in that hostel 2 nights. The value of the hostel definately fits to money that I paid. Staff was excellent, I ve had a really nice chat with one of the member until late hours. Atmosphere in the hostel was also very travelers friendly. Because of out of season and empty rooms in hotel part we even get better rooms for the same price. If I will ever come back to Jerusalem I would definately go do Palm Hostel. Good and cheap food around!
