This is a lovely hostel in a very pretty historical house. Facilities are excellent, especially the very attractive bar area (affordable drinks and meals - large portions, decent taste). The private rooms are spacious and include a kettle (complimentary coffee!). Breakfast is very basic (coffee, juice, cereal, toast) and the breakfast room gets crowded (but the line moves quickly). Location could be a drawback as it is far north of central London, but the underground/metro is a short walk away.

The hostel is in zone 2 but close to public transportation so it is easy to go anywhere. They're also close to supermarkets, post office and a cinema (in case you are bored/hungover one night) which is nice. We stayed in a 14-bed dorm and it was great. The curtains on each bed gives that extra privacy and the rooms are cleaned everyday. The showers were also clean and I never had to wait in line to use them. All in all a very good hostel that I would recommend to anyone! Great staff to, btw.

There were 2 of us and we had to rent a bed with 3 beds and were charged the price of the three bed room. The room was an attic on the third floor and it was incredibly loud!! We barely slept at all because the door that everyone has to use to access the sleeping quarters and toilets was just below our room. I'm not a light sleeper. We also had to wait 30 minutes to check in due to high volume. Breakfast was decent and the staff was very nice, but I would not stay here again or recommend it.

I only didn't like that there's no wifi in the rooms on the second floor.

todo bien excepto los argentinos que atienden el lugar. Every thing was good but not the argenitians who are assissting guests. They should not be there because they are not friendly. They are not happy with themselves. I hope you hire friendly people like the sapanish guy, Christian. thanks

Cool old place in a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes walk from a major Tube station. No curfew meant roommates coming in and being loud until 2am so not good sleep for us. Great bartenders downstairs and okay food for the price. I recommend it even with the dodgy sleep I got.

The floorboards are wooden so you can hear everybody walking around on the level above.

The hostel was very big and had a lot of facilities. That being said, the staff weren't very engaging, the location was close to tube stop though it was pretty close to the end of the Jubilee line and not near the city center. Bathrooms were clean as was eating areas. Wifi didn't always work in the room and was slow. Free tea and coffee all the time was lovely. They also had a great city map and larger lockers to store stuff. A decent hostel.

I stayed in Palmers Lodge for 6 nights. I quite enjoyed my stay. The staff were were very hospitable. The hostel was very clean and well run. On the whole, the rooms I stayed in were very quiet. I had made a late booking so due to availability I had to move just twice. The restaurant at night was very very reasonably priced and was good food. The common room was very big with ample seating and also had access to the internet. Breakfast was also lovely. I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you

Very good the atmosphere...also the lo catión. Excellent breakfast. The bar should be open at lesat two more (it's a placer here the people can get to know each other in a better way). The hostel needs to reduce the noise of the floor in the bedrooms and have a better way to manage the WiFi. That's it! Excellent place!!!!

As this was my 3rd stay here, I obviously LOVE the place! If the cleaning staff are not already well paid, they need a raise! I was here over Christmas, and the cleaners cleaned the bathrooms early that morning, then had the rest of the day off. By evening the bathrooms were disgusting! This was the ONLY time in 11 days that there was an issue with cleanliness.
