The hostel is situated very near to tube station, which is very good. The stuff are friendly and helpful. Room is quite and clean, bed is surround by curtain, which gives privacy as well as improving sleeping quality. All in all, I will recommend to go to Palmers Lodge:)

Great place. Not the cheapest hostel but you get what you pay for and it is really nice here.

I was surprised how nice the hostel was considering the cheap price, it also had a lot of character. I stayed in a 28 bed dorm, however it seemed very quiet and private. The bathroom and showers were always free, there was never a queue and they always looked like they had just been cleaned. Breakfast was included and enough to satisfy until lunch. I will definitely stay again and recommend this hostel to others.

- Some beds lack the hook for putting the coat on - it'd be great if you could place some wifi routers on the first and second floors - Please consider upgrading your internet connection. It doesn't work or works bad when 10 or more people are connected in the common room.

Generally I had a great experience, the people working the bar and restaurant were friendly but the folks at reception could have been a little more welcoming.

Very nice place, old building and nice decoration. Staff are nice. The only thing to report maybe is that the kitchen area and the shed area isn't open all day long, it is a good alternative to the lobby where there is to much people plus the TV. So it would be great if you opened all day long and in winter please increase the health in this area! Also for the smokes maybe put some kind of a awning in the smoking area, otherwise when it rains people will continue to smoke at the main entrance.

Loved this hostel - the privacy curtains were really a nice touch - didn't get woken up by people leaving early in the morning. The 28 bed dorm was actually really spacious so it didn't even seem like there were that many people staying in one room! The bar downstairs was great to meet people and the restauraunt had good food! Location was alright, quite close to the tube so you could take the train to the attractions. Would definitely reccommend!

Situated in a lovely old building, Palmers Lodge is a great hostel. As a younger person, the 'social' scene was a bit lacking however seeing as I chose Palmers to avoid the party nature it worked out very well! Rooms were secure with key cards, to get to my room you had to pass through two doors with swipe access meaning it limited the amount of people capable of getting into your area greatly! Curtains around the beds gave great privacy and the cabinets under the bed were great, if a bit thin.

Nice, clean hostel. Stayed in a 21 bed female dorm but it didn't seem that big at all considering each bed had curtains. they also each had reading lights and power points which is great!

Its nice and really clean. Friendly staff. The only thing is the wifi is too slow in the evenings and first thing in the morning when lots of people accessing it! They need to upgrade this. Cheers

Everything in the hostel was about the people from having a nice breakfast with a big choice of food to getting a drink at the evening. Loads of informations about sightseeing and even a free maps with the most important places helped with getting around and the staff was very helpful with all the needed informations. I'm very happy about my stay in Palmers Lodge

we were a group of 8 guys and really enjoyed our stay! especially the staff was absolutely nice, friendly and helpful! the one and only point that could be improved a little bit is, that it was a little bit cold in the showerroom and also in the sleeping room. Still, we totally recommend this hostel!

First night was awful because of noisy roomates. Thanks God the day after they were kicked out by the staff and i found other nice people in my room. They should replace bedclothes and pillows more frequently (in 7 days only once, when i arrived). I can't say anything bad apart from that...had a nice time in a nice place ;) p.s. Ask the staff for anything and they will be very helpful!

Room 001 had enough space, no cramped feeling. The individual curtains are really great and provide some privacy within a 24-bed dorm. Only problem was noise. With the wooden floor you could hear every footstep at night. The key card door lock is quite loud at night. Apart from that, the hostel was a real surprise, considering all the other options in London. The staff was nice and helpful. Only complaint, as with any other hostel, are the travellers who are inconsiderate of other people.

I guess the standard of hostels in London just isn't very good. I don't know if there are going to be many places better than this one - close to tube, there's enough showers and the building's nice - but although the staff generally tried to be friendly, they just weren't very helpful. I ran into some trouble with 8 drunken guys staying in the 9 bed dorm I was in at 4am. Situation didn't really get resolved and I ended up sleeping in a chair in the communal lounge before moving rooms next night
