I would definitely stay here again. The curtains on the beds are a nice feature and the free morning breakfast was good. Very close to the tube subway so you can get anywhere you want to go in London. Never had any issues with the wifi. Bathrooms get gross later in the morning but...that's not really the hostel's fault. They clean a lot. They also have one all-female bathroom on the second floor. Only one outlet in the 14 bed room I was in so maybe bring a power strip if you have one!

As Hostelworld reminds us, "a stay in a hostel is quite different to that experienced when staying in a hotel". With that in mind, this was a good hostel experience in a building with character in a pleasurable part of North London.

Amazing hostel, one of the nicest I have stayed at in Europe. I would definitely go back. Breakfast was free but only a selection of breads. But the rooms were clean and the bunks had nice privacy curtains.

Stayed in the 14 beds dorm in hopes of meeting people, but people don't really talk to each other in this hostel. Wifi totally sucks; it was constantly connecting and disconnecting. The only place to really get wifi is the tv lounge. Location was key though. It's literally a 3 minute walk from the tube. Facilities were clean enough, but could have been cleaner. Showers were weird in that they turn off every 10 seconds, so you have to keep pressing the button to keep a steady stream of water.

Of my whole trip this hostel was my favorite. I didnt even care that it took 48 hours to get my reading light fixed because of the staff, atmosphere, location, and more. There are great facilities and the neighborhood surrounding is awesome. Just book your hostel here you'll be glad you did!

Great location right on the jubilee line made it easy to get around the city by tube. Lockers in rooms were great. Luggage holding room before check-in was a little less secure and made me a bit nervous (one big room) but still allowed you to lock up your bag. Beds had curtains though mine didn't go all the way down, kind of defeating the privacy purpose. Great people staying there who were ready to chat and make plans. Free cereal and toast breakfast. Showers were weak but did the trick.

I chose this hostel as it was listed as having disabled access and I use a wheelchair. However, in order to gain entrance you have to get the attention of someone inside to come and open a door farther around the building as the door/buzzer facility there is not yet complete. There is one accessible bathroom ( not exclusively for disabled residents ) and it wasn't equipped with a shower chair. The staff were very friendly and this helped to make up for the lack in some facilities.

must improve their cleanliness of the hostel. I found that the bathroom/shower room on the 2nd floor was a bit dirty. The water didn't run well so that it caused flood on the floor.I also found that the lamps of the shower rooms on the 2nd floor didn't work well. It automatically turned on when someone was about to have showers, but that day the automatic system didn't work. Things happened that i mentioned above was not critical. In general, i loved and enjoyed my stay at Palmer's Lodge.

Good hostel, easy to find and near tube station (but just a bit far which is in Zone 2 of London). Friendly and helpful staffs! The bed, bathroom and washroom are very clean! The environment is quiet and good! I have a good sleep! Free wifi is very stable!

Bathrooms weren't very nice. At one point I experienced really low water pressure in the shower. However, I tried a different shower the next time and it was fine! — Free breakfast was quite nice. Very good value overall.

Amazing! We were a little spoiled as this was our first ever experience with a hostel. Staff were awesome, always there whenever you needed anything be it advice, tickets or help of any sort. Lounge area was super cosy and the food was inexpensive and yummy. Also, they cleaned at least three times a day, so cleanliness was never an issue. Also it's just a short walk from the swiss cottage station. Highly recommend.

Palmers Lodge was nice, but my room was in basement - i did not expect that! One tiny window. it was a bit noisy from kitchen early in the morning and some loud voises from bar at evening. The breakfast is basic, very poor for my mind . I liked the big range of souvenirs to buy.

A big hostel with a lot of guests but the place is kept really clean and feels very secure. Although it's not located in the city centre, it is located very near a underground station. The breakfast could have more options and the breakfast area should be bigger because there are too many guests and the area is always crowded during breakfast time.

I stay often at Palmer's Lodge and I'd always bemoaned the lack of a guest kitchen in this favorite bolthole. This trip we discovered a guest microwave. Added to the plentiful free dishes and cutlery, this vaults PL to the top of my London hostel list. Sorry about that, London Eye hostel. The PL free brekkie is much, much better, too.
