Good amenities for price, however, ROOM 4 (Standard Private Double Ensuite) is unbearably HOT (no window on the balcony side to allow breeze through). The Ceiling fan moves very slowly on high, has small blades so it doesn't do much, neither does floor fan. Other main problem is 100+ bug bites we got sleeping in there for 1 night, a couple mosquito bites but mostly smaller bites, perhaps fleas from rats that live in roof (heard them). Net not big enough to cover bed. Mushrooms growing below room

We stayed in Cabina 3 and really enjoyed our time in Bocas. It was really nice having a kitchen to cook our own meals (the blender was put to good use), the beds are ridiculously comfortable, and the free bikes are a real treat. Overall the cabins are a good size and located in a cool little neighbourhood. Only drawbacks would really be the general smell of garbage on the really warm afternoons, and the porches only had one table for the two cabins so it was often occupied. Great place overall!

We found the place peaceful hidden among the banana and flowering trees. We loved having access to the bicycles for transportation for nearby jaunts and the beach within walking distance. Cabins are a little small and not luxurious but completely adequate.Small decks and hammocks were a great bonus.

This place was fabulous! We love this part of town since we can mingle the locals and speak with them! We stayed in a casaita and cooked some meals on the great stove and rode the bikes all over the island! We recommend this place!

Lovely little oasis in Isla Colon. The free bicycles mean the location is fantastic. The deck with hammocks was such a lovely place to relax and meet other travellers, and Jenny is lovely. If youi are a light sleeper, you might want to take ear plugs as the neighbourhood noise starts quite early, but i think that is the same all over the island.

The highlight of my entire Panama vacation. We didn't even end up renting the bikes and just walked but it wasn't too far, there was so much to see anyways, and it was so refreshing to have a place to relax outside of the hot chaos of downtown Bocas. I recommend this to anyone and everyone who wants to feel at home while on vacation.

Nothing like the pictures and so bad we let them keep our 40 bucks and didn't even stay the night. There are much better options closer in, cheaper, and on the water. I posted my own pics on another travel site so others don't get scammed. Some guys on the street also tried to steal our bag out of the truck as we left. Rough area wouldn't walk there at night. No idea how it got such great reviews.

Owner Comment (Show)
Wow , I don´t know what to say... Fisrt of all thank you for taking the time to value us. But I actually do find this really amazing. And I am very happy this is not the opinion at all the opinion that most of our guests have. A frequenty heard comment here is that is looks exactly like as on the pictures. Ofcourse all is a matter of taste, but I don´t think you are being really objective, since you were here for just 10 minutes. It was a great thing of you to pay for the night, since you booked the room and we were full. You said you met with friends and this is why you prefered to stay with them. I wished you would have mentioned something in the moment. I would love to know what side you put pictures on, so I can see them too. Thanks a lot at least giving me such a high score, I appreciate it.

If you want typical Caribbean Cabanas and to feel part of the community not a tourist, this is it! Throw in the most accommodating owner who would do anything to help, free bikes, hammocks to chill in and to watch the birds, and sheets changed almost everyday...... You can't get better value for money. Internet is really really slow all over Bocas not just here, so do all your emails on the mainland and come here and chill out instead!

No one to greet us (could have been a one off) Unique location set in wildlife garden. Shame about poor electrical wiring and gaps between woodwork in the cabinas allowing some creepy crawlies to come inside. Sitting out on the balcony eating breakfast watching Humming birds was delightful. The kitchen was very well equiped. Good television in the room. Free use of bicycle was an added bonus.

This is indeed Panama's Paradise. The beautiful hostel is located on the western outskirts of Bocas town but the free bike deal makes it the perfect spot to be. Near supermarkets and beaches! The staff was great: friendly and helpful. I would love to come back here!

We had a very good time at this hostel! The bikes for free are very useful! The atmosphere is very good. Try to get a room upstairs, they have a huge and very cozy terrace! The Roma are big and well equipped. I hiphop recommend this hostel if you want a relaxing vacation!

Nice place outside the 'citycentre'. But with the inclusive bikes a perfect place to stay! Clean cabinas with all you need. A good bed with, warm shower, safe and a small place to sit or hang in your hammock. What we really liked were the small details that made the cabinas 'homelike'. Not just a shet with a bed. we really recommend it if you are looking for a quit place, but close enough to the town.

The little cabanas at Panama's Paradise are absolutely charming. They are tucked away from the main strip in Bocas, about a 15 min walk or a 5 min bike ride. Bikes are included with your stay, which we really utilized for making short trips to the super market or longer trips out to Playa Bluff and Playa del Drago. After mornings full of snorkeling and hanging at the beach we would come back to the shaded deck and sit in the hammocks with full blenders of pina colada. What a great little spot!

Espero poder volver a visitarlos pronto. Saludos. Wendy

This is a charming hotel nestled in Saigon, and is just a short, flat bike ride or walk from downtown Bocas. Bike rental is included with room, which opens up many other island activities. Jenny, the owner, is very sweet and accomodating. We really enjoyed our stay here, and would not have preferred anywhere else on Isla Colon.
