Great friendly staff, only a short 5-10 minute walk to the centre of the old town. Very clean and well maintained facilities. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to other travellers.Great friendly staff, only a short 5-10 minute walk to the centre of the old town. Very clean and well maintained facilities. The location in the eastern part of the old town is ideal for those who prefer to live in some more authentic neighbourhood than the central part of it where you will have to encounter dozens of Chinese tour groups. To the centre it's a nice 5 to 10 minutes walk through the old town. Taxis can get there but not all drivers accept to take you into the old town and might drop you of anywhere on the borders to it.The location in the eastern part of the old town is ideal for those who prefer to live in some more authentic neighbourhood than the central part of it where you will have to encounter dozens of Chinese tour groups. The staff here were incredibly enjoyable! We definitely recommend signing up for staff dinner at least once. There was only one shared shower, not sure how many rooms/beds need to use this. As for location, it was a short walk from the main part of old town, but dark at night. The staff here were incredibly enjoyable! We definitely recommend signing up for staff dinner at least once. Panba is run by very nice people who go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. The helpers do not speak very good English, but the two brothers speak very good English. Good experience for me to stay at Panba Guesthouse, which is a homelike place, very cozy. Particularly I want to thanks the staff at reception. They are absolutely fantastic to help everyone. Never got tired of same questions again and again! I missed a guest kitchen. Food was not very intresting and not many kind on the menu. And I hate mixdorms even where I find them also at Panda. Feel to be direspected even common in many places. Most be because of to get more profit to the hostel?Good experience for me to stay at Panba Guesthouse, which is a homelike place, very cozy. A lovely and popular hostel. It was a bit of a walk into Lijiang, although we felt safe enough walking as a couple late at night down the dark alleys. The double shared bathroom had bunk beds and a massive hole to the outside unfortunately and the shared shower was over a squat toilet. Overall though it was a good place to stay and I\'d stay there again. Lijiang is massively touristy but gorgeous and quaint.A lovely and popular hostel. Panba is a great place to stay. The staff is incredibly helpful, the food is good, and the place is funky (in a good way!). Quite difficult to find, I would recommend calling them first to help you out. Panba is a great place to stay. Niklas and the team from Panba was very helpful and friendly. Staff speaks very good english. Place is around 15min walk from the main attractions. The hostel is very relaxing with a nice balcony. American breakfast is offered for 18 RMB (Toast, Eggs, Butter, Jam and Coffee/Tea). From Busstation 10min walk, but the place is a little bit hidden. Minibus from Hostel to Airport is 80 RMB. We enjoyed the place very much.

An excellent hostel! Beautiful, clean, and staff are very friendly, helping with travel arrangements and anything you need. Just a note that the beds are some of the hardest that I've had in China...and most beds are pretty hard. Still, I would not hesitate to recommend to others and would come back again. An excellent hostel!
