Good location, nice atmosphere. Really like the hammocks and sofas area. Clean bathrooms. Very friendly staff! BUT! We had RATS in our room! We heard them walking and squeaking inside the walls and saw them INSIDE THE ROOM. We immediately packed our bags, waited at the reception until the morning and got our money back.
Overbooked as usual, people were getting moved about and pushed to different hostels every day. We booked a twin bed and had us down for two different dorms, was then put in a private ensuite. The bed and fan was decent as well as two locks on both sides of the door, ensuite was average, sometimes no water or heat. 5 minutes walk out of town there are a lot of closer accom. The restaurant was good although we kept getting charged different prices. Our stay was alright it's just a bit run down.
Great atmosphere. Had an awesome chill zone where you can easily meet people. The hammocks were amazing. I was sick for 3 days and was able to still enjoy my time there because of it. Staff was also super chill. Great stay.
The good: Awesome and helpful staff, convenient for getting around and meeting people, very cheap. The bad: Bed bugs and a filthy shared bathroom that you really don't want to in but probably have to.

Very helpful staff and clean rooms/bathrooms. Good location, close enough to main part of vang vieng and near the river. Good vibe and good breakfast
Staff was really cool! Very friendly and helping. You can do all the bookings (bus, tours etc) from here and you don't have to go anywhere for it. I really liked the location. River is 10 min walk. All famous bars are 10-15 min walk. Had a problem in sleeping one night because of a Wedding Party going on just behind the hostel. They were playing loud music till 1 am. The huts (bangalow, cheapest one) don't have good blankets but the private rooms have very good bed and blankets.
We had a great stay here! Staff were always friendly. Excellent value for money, our room was big, bright and airy. Lockers were provided, as well as same day laundry service. We booked our onward bus tickets through them also. A few nights it was noisy outside and needed earplugs in to get to sleep (but this was the locals having a party in the street). Would definitely recommend staying here!
The hostel was clean and in a perfect location, right next to the bus station. The twin bungalows are basic but nice. Distance to outside shower is slightly annoying but the staff were great, ended up extending our time in VV because of them. Would definitely recommend this hostel.
Perfect location, double room with bathroom basic but ok, confortable bed, helpful staff. Had an issue with bus tickets we bought from them, but it was solved and even they paid back the extra money we had paid. Good breakfasts and pizzas. Recommended even if you are not a 20-years-old backpacker looking for tubing.
Bitten by bed bugs and water pressure is low hence difficult to shower
very helpful staff, can book mnibus right from the door to Luang Prabang, cheap and relaxing atmosphere. Wifi was a bit patchy, but I don't think that was the hostel's fault
Because this place is in the guidebooks it feels that overcharging for everything is ok. You can get the same accommodation or better closer to the river. Managment has obviously stopped trying. The vibe is good.
Great hostel. Really friendly and helpful staff. Awesome little chill out area too.
Super cheap, staff was amazing and super helpful, great vibe and clean rooms. Staff helped us book tons of stuff and were very reliable. Vang Vieng is an amazing city and this hostel made it that much better! Would highly highly recommend. Wish I could stay somewhere like here every time!
Cool little place to hang out. Lots of people to meet and chat too. Dorms are extremely cramped with no where to put your bags as such but the beds are big which made it easier. Good value for money and people always willing to help you out.
Absolutely loved the staff. James and Molly (I think that was their names) were so lovely and helpful. Room was good, free water is great, wifi a little patchy but it's Asia. Highly recommend
Good location, not a party hostel and nice backyard area with sofas and hammocks so you can relax when you want to.
Got everything you need. Not the nicest hostel but not the worst either. Would recommend to stop here. Staff are really nice and helpful and theres a nice hammock area to chill out in
Good location, and good atmosphere. Nice touches include free water to fill up bottles, computers, movie area, maps and things to do. The breakfast is pretty good and cheap. Pan and his staff are really friendly and chilled, they look after you. We stayed in one of the timber huts. The shower & toilet facilities aren't that amazing and not amazingly clean. The wifi did go a few times but this is vang Vieng! Its part of the charm!
