The restaurant was good and the staff were nice and smiley. We had a three bed room and the fan did not reach us all so one of us baked all night. You are able to add your own padlock to the door which is handy. DVD room had lots of movies on the hard drive but was kinda nervous to sit on the couches. Decent middle-of-the-road hostel, pity about the town tho.

Excellent time in Pan's Place....great location; close to bars and restaurants - the staff were great and very helpful - the movie room upstairs was perfect! We would definitely come again and recommend others too!

The owner Chris is very helpful and it's still fairly central, although no noise after 11.30 which is good. Internet and Skype available at a cheap cost and breakfast is good.

Lovely place, really has been my favourite hostel, relaxed attitude as long as you dont take the piss. Staff are fantastic owner really helpful. Highly recommend you stay in this place if in vang vieng far enough away from the hustle and bustle so music doesnt keep you awake but not too far so as to make the walk too much of an effort.

Enjoyed my stay. Chis was very informed and helpful. When I reported that the mosquito net had some holes it was immediately replaced. The bamboo chalets at the back are near the old runway and traffic noise starts early.

Nice place, good location, staff very informative about tubing but got a bit grumpy when we wanted to change our bus ticket for the second time because of non-alcoholic related sickness. And, good food!

We stayed 5 nights in a twin room, helpful staff, clean toilet, hot shower, clean bed, but the bed is hard even for a budget place. No wifi but internet is avalable for a small cost. Do not stay here if you're going to be out all night partying as noice after 11.30 is not tolirated which is great as we wanted to be able to get some sleep! I would stay again if I was back in the area as it's good value for money and the food is good too!

We had a great stay at Pan's Place, offering us a nice place to eat and crash after days of caving and tubing alike. I loved the breakfast sandwiches. We stayed in aroom that was ensuite and feel that it was a much better choice than the chalet (aka, the basket) which our friends chose to stay in. I have no doubt that the hostel will continue to do well into the future and I look forward to staying there again in future visits to Laos.

Very good value for money! Exellent location: just outside the party area, so you can sleep at night, but still walking distance from everything. Good variety of (paying) breakfast. Spacious rooms, clean showers and toilets. Helpfull and honest Australian staff. Great info booklet in the room with really everything you should know about Vang Vieng.

Great location, Chris can be a bit moody sometimes which is kinda a bit much but other than that the food was really good and it's close, but far enough away from the main party so you can get sleep. There is 24 hours security so it makes you feel a bit better about leaving your belongings out. But I would recommend that you lock up your passports, because they do have break ins every once in a while, I have heard.

Fine, affordable place to stay for a few nights. Beds were incredibly uncomfortable and rooms could be cleaner. Staff tries to be helpful, but can come off as slightly abrasive while adding their "advice". Internet works well and the on site food was great.
