Excellent hostel. Chris is the owner and he gave me great advice about the town, very much appreciated. Hotstel is clean, well-organized, and breakfast is excellent.

Just to take note, Internet had to be paid if use the hostel computer to online. If you have your mobile phone, it is best to use your own device to online. Overall, staff are very good and it's cheap!

We really enjoyed staying here. It was clean and comfortable, and really good value for the price. The owner Chris was very friendly and helpful. The location is on the main road, about a ten minute walk from where the tubing starts from, three minutes from the main bars and two minutes from the airstrip. I would definitely stay at Pan's again if I were to return to Vang Vieng.

The staff is super friendly and helpful.chris is very knowledgable and understanding. Pan's is super clean and has incredible food. Best shakes in vang hands down. My wife and I actually ended up extending our 3 night stay by 5 additional nights. I will stay here every time I am back in the area.

Good value for the money...not the cleanest, not the nicest, BUT clean and nice, quite good athmosphere, helpful staff, good food for vegetarians as well...so probably one of the best choice in Vang Vieng.

This is Laos. It will not be like in the city. The private room was fine. I did get some bug bites, probably from the bed. But again, this is practically the jungle. The owner, I think a Kiwi, was nice and accommodating and helpful. I didn't try but they also serve food and drinks.

You get what you pay for at Pan's Place. While a great value for the money ($3.50/night) it certainly lacked in a few areas. I've NEVER complained about beds in the dozens of hostels I've been to however these were dreadful. Dreadful for Asia! Literally springs sticking up into your back without padding. This was my biggest and really only complaint. It'd be nice if the wifi reached the rooms in back but again, you get what you pay for. Food at restaurant was pretty good and a jolly staff.

Pans place was a really good place to stay in Vang Vieng! Although the town has quietend down with the closures of the bars along the river for the tubing, this hotel was still full of backpackers every night and was excellent value for money!

One of the best hostels I have ever been to, there is no such thing as a dorm there and I absolutely loved my private room at dorm like prices. The staff is incredibly nice, Mook even memorizes your order if you order the same thing everyday. Their restaurant was delicious, shakes are only 5,000 kip there while it is at least 8,000 everywhere else. The owner Chris will help you with anything you need including visa information and he is a no nonsense type of guy so you can ask anything. AWESOME!
