Everything was okay, considering its Laos it probably is the best place to be. Most the staff were nice, unfortunately there was an older miserable Australian man, who infact takes value away from your trip by making you feel uncomfortable. There are also some poorly aggressively written signs over the hostel that add to this. Atmosphere was disappointing - there was none. However, some of the staff were really nice and it is in a good location.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Very close to local bars and restaurants but far enough out to be out of the craziness of Vang Vieng. Staff was helpful in organizing bus to Vientiane
There is a good atmosphere and the staff is nice. The prices for food, bikes and tours are higher than in near by shops.
The hostel is in a great location, only a five minute walk to town. It is super secure and the food menu was so good especially the Scottish breakfast and lemon smoothie. The staff were always smiling which made the stay even more enjoyable. Only downside was the poor WiFi reception but I wouldn't let that keep you from staying here.

Very nice hostel down the road from the main action. The staff are super helpful and can book whatever you need. The dorm room is basic but for the price, its all you need. The restaurant is good and reasonably priced. The only negative was the carnival a street back which cranked music all the time
Extended twice already, nice place, has everything you need, even splashed out on a private, very good value.
Pans has a good location, staff, and atmosphere. The rooms themselves are small, beds are small and old, and bathrooms were the worst I've seen. There is no AC in any of the rooms even if they are listed as superior or delux. Booked a triple room and had to share a bed the first night. All around you can probably do much better for your $ in bang vieng. I moved to a guesthouse next door for my last night. Girl who runs the place is nice though
Nice, friendly hostel about 10-15 minutes from the main centre of Vang Vieng. Rooms were clean, quite small and could do with some updating (in terms of decor, sheets etc). There was also a bar nearby which played loud music for most of the day and night. Staff were friendly and they offered a lot of services e.g. booking trips, wet bags for tubing etc.
Nice relaxed vibe, with good food. Very basic rooms, but comfortable. Friendly staff and good location. If you're not looking to be sleeping in the party center, this is a good choice.
really nice social friendly vibe, hammock area and good food, central and lockers available, great base for tubing and partying
Good hostel which is good value for money. The staff were helpful, and the food was cheap and tasty. Good location to go tubing from
Pan's is the place to stay in in Vang Vieng. While the dorms are quite small, there's no reason to be in them other than for sleeping, as there is both a comfortable relaxed back patio and a second large seating area around the reception. Well located and great value, and the staff are some of the most helpful I've encountered - they went above and beyond in helping me out during my stay. This is one of my favourite hostels, I'll certainly be back.
The guy working at reception was one of the best we have encountered so far! Very friendly and helpful, made the atmosphere!
This place was lovely! Staff so helpful. Great location for tubing and the Sakura bar. (Free whisky for an hour every night!) food was lovely. Rooms are traditional Laos style 3 mattresses on the floor and it was actually VERY comfortable. The children are adorable also!
Robin is an amazing host. He helped us pick out our motorbike plan for the day and gave us recommendations. The room was a basic hostel room, but there are a lot of cool places to hangout. They serve food and will set up your bus to the next destination for cheaper than if you do it yourself. The place was booked up but when we emailed a day earlier to extend he was able to accommodate us. Great place and they serve good food as well. Would stay here again next time.
Muito bom o staff do hostel..pessoal muito simpático e atencioso!

Nice hostel, beds are nice but dorms are really small. Helpful staff and good atmosphere.
Great hostel! Staff very helpful as English speaking! Do a side is no free breakfast!
The staff is super friendly. If the bungalows have mosquito nets, it would be perfect, there's mosquitos in the room even if it's sprayed. It's a great experience to stay in the bungalows for a night because at night, the light shining through the rattan wall looks like stars in the night sky. The fan is enough to keep the room cool. The private rooms are good if you have someone to share it with. If there's soap dispensers in the shower would be great, would be less wasteful than bar soap given
Stayed in a private room, very good value for money. Bathroom and bedroom were clean, but it smelled a little bit moldy. Robin the receptionist was lovely! I met some nice people and did some nice activities, even though I did not went tubing (!). There is a lot to do and you can all book it through the hostel. The scenery is beautiful, so make sure you rent a mountainbike!
