This transport network covers an area that goes 10 Kilometers to the north and 6 kms to the south of city, including the neighboring councils of Matosinhos, Maia, Gondomar, Valongo and Vila Nova de Gaia.

There are 79 bus lines and a historic tram. The timetabels vary according to each line, but daytime goes from 07h00 to 21h00. The frequency varies during the night, weekends and holidays, as do some of the itineraries, so it is necessary to check these before planning a journey. One-day tickets are available on board of the bus. Other tickets can be bought in several sales points.
