Definitelly recommended! Very cozy hotel w/ good and quiet location, a few minutes from Gauja National Park (all nature lovers must see!). Last but not least, we were absolutely amazed of how friendly and helpful the staff was. Don't need to look for more in Sigulda!Definitelly recommended! I stayed there for 2 nights and what a surprise, for the price of a hostel - actually it's a hostel- I got a lovely and charming hotel! The location was great, and everything was new, clean and decorated with wood. The communal balcony-place for smoking was delightful, with great views to the park. Each room had a convenient small fridge. The owner did us 7 kilos of laundry for only 1 Lat! Sigulda is a great place to scape from Riga and get in touch with nature.I stayed there for 2 nights and what a surprise, for the price of a hostel - actually it's a hostel- I got a lovely and charming hotel! I had a nice stay there. It's quiet and comfy. But it's more a hotel than a hostel, there's no common room, so you can't easily meet the other travellers.I had a nice stay there. The hostel looks brand new & is near the shops, cafes/bars etc. The room & en suite bathroom were spotless & a good size. Although the owner spoke little English (just Lativian, Russian, Polish and German!) we got by fine & he allowed us to use his washing machine. We didn't spend much waking time in the hostel, so can't really comment on the opportunity to meet other travellers, but there is a big communal garden. The kitchen was sometimes locked. Would definitely stay here again. The hostel looks brand new & is near the shops, cafes/bars etc. The room & en suite bathroom were spotless & a good size.
