Awesome place to stay!! Would defiantly stay there again. I planned originally on staying for 3 nights but stayed there for 5! Best hostel I have stayed at easily in Australia. Mick, who runs the place, was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable on everything I needed to know of the place, thanks for a wicked stay! The other staff were incredibly friendly and great to get to know!

Top hostel with great staff in a good location. For the price you can't go wrong. Certainly not a party hostel, if you want that go down the street to dougies. If you want to hang out with good, chilled out people and enjoy a few drinks and still be able to have a good nights sleep this is the place for you.

Todd at reception was nice and helpful, the place was quiet as is expected around this time pre-season. We stayed in a twin private room; The floor was sandy, but the room was otherwise clean -- clean bedsheets, shower, etc. The hostel Pool's water seemed a bit murky so we avoided it -- and anyway who needs a pool when there's a beautiful beach a stroll away?

The staff was extremely helpful and available late hours. Our luggage was lost on the flight in, and the staff was incredibly helpful! Thank you again!! Fun atmosphere, nice pool, nice free breakfast...

On arrival I was assisted by the very able boss of the hostel, but the sheer number of inept staff present during my stay was too much to take. They were unable to answer almost all the questions I had and acted as if I'd disrupted them when I asked. Reception also closed early the night of my departure so I couldn't collect my key deposit money. The 'on-duty' and 'off-duty' staff spent most of their time sat in a group acting as if they owned the place.

Staff were very helpful and knowledgable about the area. Rooms were spacious and perfectly adequate. Nice swimming pool and the free wifi was a major plus.

The hostel doesn\'t have that much charm. But the location is great and there is free wifi, a nice free breakfast and a big tv. I stayed before in Dougies which is much nicer characterwise, but this has a much better location. Close to the city, marina and beach.

great value for time and money. lots of chillout space, no pressure from staff to spend money. thought lockers in the rooms would be cool but the reception were happy to hold my laptop and passport. tried the kangaroo bake in the bistro - WOW! the weather is crazy up here with super hot, suer wet conditions - swimming in the pool in the rain was just the thing. will try and come back before i leave oz.
